Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT Queen Latifah ?

Queen Latifah (born March 18, 1970, Newark, New Jersey, U.S.), American musician and actress whose victory in the late 1980s started a wave of female rappers and helped redefine the traditionally male genre, by name Dana Elaine Owens. Later she became a distinguished actress.

The nickname of Latifah (“delicate” or “sensitive” Arabic) was given to Owens as a child and later the moniker, Queen Latifah. She was part of the all-female rap group Ladies Fresh at high school and, while she studied communications at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, recorded a demo tape which attracted the attention of the 18 year-old Tommy Boy Records. In 1988, she released her first single, “Wrath of My Madness,” and her first album, “All Hail the Queen,” was released the following year. It gained a wide range of positive reviews and gained a large audience with various styles — including soul, reggae and dance — and feminist themes. Soon thereafter, Queen Latifah established her own company. Her second album, Nature of a Sista (1991), did not match her previous work, and Tommy Boy did not re-sign her. She released Black Reign in 1993 after signing with Motown Records. The album was a critical and commercial success and was awarded the Grammy Award to the single “U.N.I.T.Y.”

In 1991, Queen Latifah made her large-screen debut in Jungle Fever, and in 1993 was signed for the Living Single Series after several TV appearances. The show ended in 1998 and Queen Latifah played a jazz singer in Living Out Loud later that year. Her presence on the controlled screen contributed to further films, including The Bone Collector (1999) and Brown Sugar (2002). In 1999 she started her own two-year talk show in 1999 and published Ladies First: revelations of a strong woman that year (written with Karen Hunter).

Queen Latifah’s prominence in Hollywood was cemented in 2003 when she was nominated for the Academy Award (the best supporting actress) for her portrait of Matron Mama Morton at the Chicago music stage adaptation (2002). Following this film, there were comedies Bringing Down the House (2003), produced and starred by Queen Latifah, Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004) and Beauty Shop (2005) and Last Holiday (2006). In her role as Motormouth Maybelle, she again brought her musical background to the screen in the film Hairspray (2007), a musical stage remake.

The Secret Life of Bees, a dram about a white girl who was taken by a family of beekeeping African American women in South Carolina in the 1960s, played the role of Queen Latifah. She later appeared in Valentine’s day (2010), Just Wright (2010), and in the romantic comedies The Dilemma (2011). In Joyful Noise (2012), Queen Latifah was the leader of a competitive church evangelist in front of Dolly Parton. She followed the performance as a Southern matriarch in Steel Magnolias (2012), which featured a predominantly African American cast, unlike the 1980s stage and the film productions on which she was based. Her other notable TV-movies included Life Support (2007), about an AIDS-activist who had become a former addict, Bessie (2015), with Bessie Smith as the blues singer, and Wiz Live! (2015), based on Broadway musical.

The later television work of Queen Latifah includes the series Star (2016–19), about three singers who are hoping to become superstars, and The Equalizer (2021–), where she has been a former CIA agent who becomes a wachman. She was also cast in the The Little Mermaid Live special! (2019), and Hattie McDaniel played in Hollywood miniseries (2020). Queen Latifah continued to appear on the big screen during this time. She starred in the comedy Girls Trip in 2017. Her voice was also featured in several films, including four instalments in the animated Ice Age series (2006, 2009, 2012 and 2016).
