Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT ARUN GOVIL.

Most of Arun Govil’s work can be seen in Hindi television serials and Bollywood films. He is an Indian television actor. Because of his performance as Rama in the television series Ramayan, he gained significant recognition and popularity. Since he began his career on television many years ago, Arun Govil has been a cast member in various series, including Basera, Gayatri Mahima, and The Kapil Sharma Show, where his acting has won over audiences everywhere. Arun Govil was born in Ramnagar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on the 12th of January 1958, making him 63 years old as of 2021.

He graduated from Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut, where he had previously finished his studies, with a Bachelor of Science degree (Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut). Arun Govil is around 5 feet and 10 inches tall, and weighing about 70 kg. He has dark hair, and his eyes are also unclear. His hairdo is quite attractive. Arun Govil is highly dedicated to his fitness routine, and he also places a high priority on his health. Even at the beginning stages of his work, Govil was already a productive individual.

By the time 1985 rolled around, he had already appeared in more than 30 movies, some of which were Sawan Ko Aane Do (1979), Sanjh Ko Aanch Nahin (1979), Ayaash (1982), Judge Chaudhury (1983), and Do Dilon Ki Dastaan (1985). Paheli was the name of his debut film, which was released in 1977, and he acted in several other films in various languages. They refused to acknowledge him in any character other than that of Ram throughout his whole career, eventually leading to the end of his acting career.

After that, he established his own production business and debuted a television series called Mashaal, which he was involved in producing and acting in. During March 2020, he made an appearance on Comedy Nights With Kapil with his co-stars Deepila Chikalia and Sunil Lahri from the epic television series Ramayana. Govil started working under Ramanand Sagar’s production banner in the year 1985. At that time, he played one of the notable characters in the television series Vikram Aur Betaal.

This partnership was the impetus for him to take on the role of Ram Ramayan in 1986, which would prove to be the defining performance of his career (1986 – 1988). He went on to remark that it was one of the most challenging parts he had ever done, but it was a decision that he would never regret making because of the opportunities it had denied him in the future. He saw this performance as a watershed event in his life and was grateful for the widespread adulation he earned for it. In 1988, he was even given the Uptron Award for Best Actor for his performance in this role.

In the fantasy television series “Vikram Aur Betaal,” which Ramanand Sagar created and starred in, the role of King Vikramaditya was given to Sagar. The crowd adored the program, which could be seen on Doordarshan every Sunday at 4:30 in the afternoon, and the channel broadcast it. The part of Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar’s classic Indian historical-drama television series “Ramayan” was the next one for him, and it would be the one that would propel his career to indefinitely greater heights. In the beginning, the Ramayan auditions for the part of Lord Rama did not choose him as a candidate.

But, the producers of the program had second thoughts about their choice, and in the end, they decided to consider Arun Govil a potential candidate for the role. Throughout the 1990s, Doordarshan was home to the venerable devotional program Ramayan, which was broadcast on television. Yet, the program continues to have a special place in the memories of millions of people all over the globe. Yet regardless of how many adaptations of the Ramayan are done for television or the big screen, Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan stands out as an extraordinary work. The program’s popularity was so great that it was extended three times, bringing the total number of episodes up to 78 from the originally planned 52.

Reports indicate that Doordarshan received Rs. 40 Lakhs for each episode, even though the production of each episode cost just Rs. 9 Lakhs. Six hundred fifty million people tuned in to see Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan when it was shown on television in 55 countries. Because of this, the cast of the program also gained a significant amount of fame. The real-life version of Ram, portrayed by Arun Govil, was likewise met with widespread acclaim from moviegoers. To such an extent that many years after the program ceased airing, Arun was contacted by many admirers who used to think of him as Lord Ram and also obtain blessings from him. This happened despite the show being off the air for many years.

On the other hand, not many people know much about Arun’s life outside of this aspect. Now that we have that out of the way let’s look at some of the less well-known facts about him. According to several stories, Arun Govil somehow became aware that the director Ramanand Sagar was planning to develop a television series based on the Ramayana Katha. As a result, he also auditioned for the role. The casting director, Ramanand Sagar, did not choose Arun for the part of ‘Ram’ even though Arun’s audition was successful.

The reason for this was that the film director wanted the actor portraying the role of “Ram” to be free of any form of addiction. And although though Arun was already a heavy smoker at the time, he decided to quit the habit for the sake of the part he was playing. Ultimately, Arun was included in the primary cast, and filming began the following year, in 1987. Although Arun had first indicated that he would be willing to comply with Ramanad Sagar’s requirement, he could not refrain from lighting up during breaks.

During an interview with the Pinkvilla, Arun said in the past that anytime he would have a break from filming, he would walk behind the sets and start smoking cigarettes. This was something that he often did. On the other hand, when he was smoking during one of these breaks, an unknown individual approached him and expressed annoyance at him. On that day, Arun saw his followers’ incredible faith in him since he represented their god, Lord Ram.

Since then, Arun has wholly quit smoking cigarettes and become much more immersed in his role. Not only that but as a direct result of Arun’s participation in the series, he had a complete transformation in his spirituality and is now closely linked with Brahmrishi Kumar Swamiji. Arun worked in various movies and television series before his employment with Ramayan. But, once he began working in Ramayan, he was no longer presented with opportunities by the business.

Once, the renowned filmmaker Yash Chopra informed him about the part he performed in the mythical series Ramayan in such a manner that all of the filmmakers are now perplexed about what role they should offer him next. Ramayan was a series based on the Ramayana. Arun desired, above all else, to preserve the ‘Ram’ image that he had cultivated with his many followers. In terms of Arun Govil’s private life, he has been happily married to the woman who has been his life’s passion for a very long time, Sreelekha, who used to be an actress.

In the 1966 film Himmatvar, she made her first screen appearance, starring alongside Dharmendra. In addition, she had a role in the movie Chota Sa Ghar. Before beginning her career in Bollywood, Sreelekha was employed in the textile design industry. They have been given the gift of a boy named Amal and a daughter named Sonika from their union. Amal and his wife Divya have been blessed with two children: a boy named Aryaveer and a girl named Ariana. Amal is employed as a banker in Mumbai. On the other side, Sonika pursues her education in the United States.

Vijay Govil, Arun Govil’s older brother, was married to Tabassum, who had a career in the entertainment industry when she was a youngster. In addition, Tabassum hosted the very first chat show about Bollywood celebrities to be shown on Doordarshan. The program, titled Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan, was broadcast for 21 years, beginning in 1972 and ending in 1993. Hoshang Govil, the son of Viay and Tabassum, is also active in the cinema and television industries. Regarding Tabassum, her parents, Ayodhyanath Sachdev and Asghari Begum, were active participants in the Indian independence movement.

Tabassum, however, departed this mortal plane on November 18, 2022, due to cardiac arrest after she was diagnosed with the fatal COVID-19 virus. She had been afflicted with the virus for some time. The Congress administration voiced their opposition to the broadcasting of the Ramayan before it ever began. Around that time, India’s Minister of Information and Broadcasting, BN Gadgil, stated in the cabinet that such a series might threaten India’s secularism.

Ramanand Sagar and his son, Prem Sagar, were required to go to the headquarters of Doordarshan, known as Mandi House, for various inconsequential matters, and they were also summoned to Delhi for the same purpose. On the other hand, Ramanand was equally intent on sharing the series with as many people as possible in any manner that he could. In the biography of his father, titled An Epic Life: Ramanand Sagar, Prem mentions that Ramanand was prepared to create the documentary in the form of video cassettes if the government had not permitted it to be telecasted on Doordarshan.
