Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT Francis Ford Coppola?

Francis Ford Coppola, American film director, author, producer (born April 7, 1939, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.), whose films range from sweeping epics to small-scale character studies. As the director of films such as The Godfather(1972), The Conversation(1974), and Apocalypse Now (1979), the film production and distribution system in Hollywood had its greatest success and influence in the 1970s.

The father of Coppola, Carmine, a disaffected composer who played flute in various orchestras, including the NBC Symphony Orchestra of Arturo Toscanini, established his family in the area of New York. Coppola grew up on Long Island in and around Queens and in Great Neck. Confined to bed with polio at the age of 9, he conceived marionette shows for his own entertainment. After graduating from the University of Hofstra, he studied Fine Arts at the University of California in Los Angeles. During this period Coppola began working for well-known low-budget film producer Roger Corman, whose photography and the direction he carried out in American International Pictures, among other things.

One of Coppola’s first projects was to write the dialogue to his re-edited version of a couple of Russian films that were made The Magic Voyage of Sinbad and Battle Beyond the Sun (both 1962). While in Ireland, Coppola persuaded Corman to raise $20000 to pay his first film, Dementia 13, which was a Gory Horror Film based on a script that had been written by Coppola hastily.

Coppola has written and directed the charming story “You’re a Big Boy Now” (in 1966) as a contract writer for Seven Arts after his work in this property Is Condemned and Is Paris Burning? which served as his master’s film. Short on the plot but rich with incident, the story was of a young virgin (played by Peter Kastner) looking for love, while at the Public Library in New York. It had a remarkable cast and soundtrack by Lovin’ Spoonful (including Elizabeth Hartman, Karen Black, Rip Torn, Tony Bill, Julie Harris, and Geraldine Page). Warner Brothers was impressed by the film and signed Coppola to lead the musical Finian’s Rainbow (1968). Building on a Broadway play in the 1940s, which subversively satirized racism, master dancer Fred Astaire started out but partially stumbled as a result of choreographer Hermes Pan’s departure from production.

Warner Brothers financed Coppola’s next project The Rain People ($750,000) (1969). It was written and directed by Coppola and followed the housewife of a pregnant Long Island (Shirley Knight). Her path goes beyond that of a brain-damaged former football player (James Caan) and a policeman in Nebraska (Robert Duvall). Warner Brothers had tied its funding from The Rain People to a project led by his friend George Lucas from Coppola’s new Zoetrope Productions, THX 1138. Disappointed with the results of Coppola’s film in its box office and not impressed with Lucas’s first cut, the studio ended the partnership. Coppola has meanwhile won an Academy Award for his cooperation with Franklin Schaffner in Patton’s screenplay (1970).

A big success (the fifth largest film of the 1970s) from the box office, the Godfather was also lauded by critics and ranked third on the 1998 list of the 100 Top American Films of all times by the American Film Institute. The Godfather is a violent, emotionally charged exploration of the Mafia family.

It is also a story of a father and his sons. A mythical gangster film. For his portrayal of the title capo, Vito Corleone, Marlon Brando won the Academy Award for best actor. John Cazale, Caan, Al Pacino and Duvall played his trusted consultant (the last three were nominated for best-supporting actor awards). The best director was Coppola nominated and he and Puzo received the prize for best-adapted screenplays.

Financially able to make a less commercial, more personal film, Coppola wrote, directed, and produced The Conversation (1974) on the dehumanizing power of technology. Gene Hackman was a supervisor who suspects that a couple he’s electronically tampered with is about to be killed. Too bleak for some tastes, however, the film boasted a film nominated with an Academy Prize and strong performances and was nominated for the Academy Prize for the best image.
