Park Hyung-sik is a South Korean Singer. On June 10, 2019, Park began his obligatory military duty. He began his basic military training at the Nonsan Army Recruit Training Center in South Chungcheong Province and will complete the remainder of his military obligations as an active duty soldier in the Capital Defense Command’s military police department.
Park played the male lead in Jewelry S’ “Date” music video in February 2009. In the same year, Park worked as a uniform brand model and starred alongside fellow ZE: A members in Mnet’s reality show ZE: Debut A’s Diary.
Park made his debut as a member of the South Korean boy band ZE: A on January 7, 2010. He appeared in various programs and had minor roles in numerous dramas in addition to ZE: usual A’s promotional efforts. Park began his theatrical career in 2011 as a cast member in the musical Temptation of Wolves with Ryeowook of Super Junior.
In 2012, he made his acting debut in SBS’s special drama I Remember You. In the same year, he appeared in SBS’ Dummy Mommy, in which he played an indie band’s lead singer. Park played the adolescent version of two twin brothers with drastically differing personalities in KBS2’s drama special Sirius (2013) the following year. Park also appeared in his second musical theatre production, Gwanghwamun Love Song, in early 2013, in which he played Ji-Yong.
Park portrayed Mike Ross’s Korean equivalent in the Korean adaptation of the American legal drama series Suits, which premiered in April 2018. Following that, Park returned to the musical stage in November 2018, as Der Tod in the theatrical version of Elisabeth.
Park made his feature film debut in the courtroom drama Juror 8 in May 2019. In November 2019, he was named Best New Actor at the 39th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards for this performance. He was also nominated for Best New Actor (Film) at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards in June 2020 for his performance.
Following his military released in January 2021, Park will feature in Happiness, an apocalyptic city thriller directed by Ahn Gil Ho and written by Han Sang Woon, who previously collaborated on the television series Watcher, as an educated and honest violent crimes detective named Jung Yi-hyun.
