Jitendra Patwari was born on November 19, 1973, in Bijalpur, a small town near Indore. His father’s name is Ramesh Chandra Kodarlal Patwari and his mother’s name is Pirak Bai Patwari. He attended Government Multi Malhar Ashram Higher Secondary School in Indore before pursuing his B.A. and L.L.B degrees at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore.

During the Indian independence movement, his grandfather, Kodarlal Patwari, was a freedom fighter. Ramesh Chandra Patwari, his father, is an active member of the Indian National Congress.

Career:

In 2013, he was elected to the Rau Vidhan Sabha for the first time. He is the Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and the Chairman of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee. He is also the Working President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee and an Indian National Congress national media panelist. Earlier he was President of Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress.

In 2018, he defeated Rau for the second time.

He was the Cabinet Minister of Higher Education, Youth, and Sports Affairs in the Madhya Pradesh government after the Indian National Congress formed the government after 15 years, but he resigned after the Madhya Pradesh political turmoil in 2020.
