Kim Si-Hyeon Biography:

Kim was born on August 5, 1999, in Bundang-gu, South Korea. Her birth sign is Leo. She has completed her schooling at Korean Arts High School.

Career:

Pre-debut:

Kim participated as an individual trainee in the first season of Mnet’s reality television contest Produce 101 in 2016. She finished 40th and went on to sign with Yuehua Entertainment. Kim entered the third season of Produce 48 in 2018, alongside Everglow’s Wang Yiren and Iz*One’s Choi Ye-Na. Kim finished 27th and was eradicated in the third round with Wang Yiren, whereas Choi Ye-Na made it to the finals and became a member of Iz*One.

2019–present: Debut with Everglow and solo activities

Kim made her debut with Everglow on March 18, 2019. Everglow released their first single album, Arrival of Everglow, on March 18, 2019, with the lead single “Bon Bon Chocolat,” as their debut showcase.

Kim was selected as a new MC for SBS MTV’s music program “The Show” alongside The Boyz’s Juyeon and Kim Min-kyu on February 7, 2020.

Kim, along with fellow group member Wang Yiren, tested positive for COVID-19 on December 1st, 2020.

On May 25th, 2021, it was revealed that Kim will take over as Everglow’s leader after E: U stated that she lacked strength as a leader.
