He is a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Rajasthan, and he was an autonomous MP from the Dausa Lok Sabha constituency in the Indian state of Rajasthan. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party before leaving in 2008. He was a member of the National People’s Party in 2016. He was a cabinet minister in charge of food and civil supplies. He is a member of the Meena tribe.

Kirodi Lal Meena was born on 3 November 1951 in Khohra Mullah teh-mahwa dist-dausa, Rajasthan, to a farmer family. He attended a government school and earned his M.B.B.S. at S.P. Medical College in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Arrest:

Meena and some of his supporters were arrested on December 24, 2017, for attempting to enter a private temple in Sankhwali against the aspirations of community members.
