These honors were presented to Bertram for his work on the series.
In addition, she has been considered for two Gemini Awards: the first was for “Best Performance in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series” for Ready or Not in 1996, and the second was for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series” for Platinum in 1998. Both of these nominations were for roles that she played in the series Platinum. Although she was born in Toronto, Laura Maureen Bertram now resides in Vancouver. She began her education in Toronto at Leaside Collegiate Institute and continued at the University of Guelph, where she received her bachelor’s degree in history.

As a result of living in this day and age, we have the luxury of quickly getting instant satisfaction by binge-watching our favorite programs on streaming platforms. And if something isn’t available to stream, tracking down the DVD set on online marketplaces like eBay or Amazon is typically relatively easy. This is not the case with some of the most popular television series since we have been unable to locate them anywhere.
Following is a list of five iconic television series now unavailable for viewing online or through streaming. These shows cover a range of genres, from comedies to dramas centered on teenagers. Ed is a comedic drama made in the United States and shown on television from October 8, 2000, to February 6, 2004. David Letterman was a co-producer of the show. Ed focuses on the main character, Ed Stevens, who is a successful lawyer but gets in trouble for misusing a comma, which ends up losing the legal firm over one million dollars. Tom Cavanagh plays Ed Stevens. After returning home, he discovers that his wife has been having an affair with the postman.
After that, he returns to his hometown in Ohio, and the remainder of the episodes occur in that state. The show is a comedy, but it delves into more serious subjects, such as low self-esteem, stereotypical portrayals of people, and unrequited love. Even while Ed is periodically shown on cable television, tracking in any other venue. The user is complex and not currently accessible to watch on any platform or sold on DVD in any format.
Rob Burnett, a co-creator of the program, reportedly said on The Tonight Program with Jimmy Fallon that the show probably did not gain broad distribution because of issues with music rights and the fact that the show is co-owned by two different companies, NBC-Universal and Paramount. This information was obtained via Vulture. On the television program Andromeda Ascendant, the character Laura Bertram portrays, Trance Gemini, is a Canadian actress named Laura Bertram.
After completing her secondary education at Leaside Secondary School in Toronto, Laura spent the summer of 1997 working at Kilcoo Camp as a ceramics teacher. She had a tooth injury at the camp due to playing a game there. When Laura first attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, she was a part of the “Queen’s Players” theater group there. This was the beginning of her collegiate acting career.
Before moving to Guelph University, she attended Queen’s for a single academic year. She subsequently went on to get an Honors Degree in History from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. Her area of concentration was in the Early Modern period of Continental European history (about 1485 to 1700). Laura has said that she plans to complete her Master’s degree at a place that is geographically closer to the Andromeda set than she is now.

Heather and Jennifer are Laura’s younger sisters. Laura has two younger sisters. Both of them have also had acting careers. While at the university, Laura worked as a waitress at a snowboard store. Laura used to like snowboarding, but because of her contract with Andromeda, she can no longer participate in the sport. In addition, she is not permitted to go rollerblading, ice skating, or mountain biking. Additionally, Laura is fluent in French. The first scene of “Star-Crossed” doesn’t do justice to Laura’s singing ability; she was a member of the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus for seven years, which attests to her prowess as a vocalist.
After having a moderate amount of success in ballet early in her performing career, Laura’s agency advised her to try acting instead. Her first tryout for Ready or Not resulted in her landing the part. Laura attended an audition for the role of Rogue in the X-Men movie and was called back for further consideration; however, she was ultimately not cast in the role. She “grew up on” Star Trek: The Next Generation, and her mother is a devotee of science fiction, so Laura was ecstatic when she found out she could apply for a program created by Gene Roddenberry.
