Lee Min-hyuk is popularly known as Minhyuk or Huta. He is a rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and MC from South Korea. He is a member of the BtoB boy band from South Korea. He has appeared in a number of television series as a supporting actor, including A New Leaf and Sweet, Savage Family.


Lee Min-hyuk Biography:

Lee Minhyuk was born in Seoul, South Korea on November 29, 1990. He attended Dankook University and majored in Musical after graduating from Kwangsung High School. He’s been involved as an underground music artist under the alias Huta, and he’s appeared in songs by Block B’s Zico and Park Kyung.

On February 7, 2019, Lee joined as a conscripted police officer. On September 12, 2020, he was released.

Pre-debut:

Lee Min-hyuk received 7 months of training, but as a music student, he possesses solid fundamental skills. Lee, along with BtoB members Seo Eunkwang, Lim Hyunsik, Jung Ilhoon, and former BtoB member Lee Minwoo (now ex C-Clown member T.K), appeared in the JTBC drama I Live in Cheongdam-dong as a member of the fictional boy group Invincible Chungdam No. 5 before making their official debut as BtoB.

Lee was cast as the MC for SBS MTV’s The Show on March 20, 2012, alongside Yook Sung-Jae, a future member of BtoB.

BtoB:

Lee made his debut as a member of the boy band BtoB in 2012. On March 21, 2012, the group made its big debut on M! Countdown.

Cube announced the creation of a unit called BtoB 4U on October 27, 2020, consisting of Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, and Peniel. The group made their debut on November 16 with their first mini-album, Inside, and the title track, “Show Your Love.”

Solo activities:

Lee was cast in the tv variety show The Romantic & Idol 2 in 2012. He has also made several appearances on Let’s Go! Dream Team Season 2 since 2013.

On January 22, 2013, he starred in Reckless Family 2, an MBC variety and sitcom. In May, he appeared as Malo, a member of the band Man In Black, in the Mnet musical TV series Monster. On September 4, he appeared in tvN’s Fantastic Tower as the male protagonist Min Ho, who died 15 years ago but resurrected.

In 2014, he appeared in the dramas A New Leaf and Love & War 2’s idol special as a supporting actor.

Savage Family joined the cast of Sweet in 2015.  He also played the lead in the web series Nightmare Teacher.

Lee appeared as a rapper as Heota in Postmen’s “I’m OK,” which was released on July 14, 2015.

Lee is also well-known for his athletic abilities, having been named MVP of the 2014 Idol Star Athletics Championships, in which his group, Team B, won and Lee won three gold medals and one silver medal.

On August 10, 2017, Lee released the self-produced “Purple Rain” featuring Cheeze as part of BTOB’s solo project series, Piece of BTOB. Childlike, produced by Lee, was released later that year on December 6.

Lee made his solo debut in Japan in 2018 with his first Japanese EP, Summer Diary, which was released on July 25 and featured five songs.

Lee’s solo Korean debut, ‘Hutazone,’ was revealed in January 2019 with an all-self-composed album. The album includes a Korean version of “All Day,” “It Must Have Been A Dream,” and “You Too? Me Too!” featuring Yook Sungjae and Jeon So-Yeon, respectively.

In February 2019, he performed his first solo concert, HUTAZONE: Two Night, at the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul’s Gwangjin District.

Lee made his film debut as Gyeom Sa-bok in The Swordsman, a historical action film.
