Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT NICK CROMPTON.

Nich Compton, an English cricketer of South African descent who played for Middlesex County Cricket Club most recently, was born on June 26, 1983. He played for England in 16 Test matches and is the grandson of Denis Compton. The son of former first-class cricketer Richard Compton and Zimbabwean mother Glynis, who had a career in public relations and journalism, Compton was born and reared in Durban, Natal Province, South Africa.  As the grandson of English test cricketer and Arsenal player Denis Compton and the great-nephew of seasoned first-class cricketer and fellow Arsenal footballer Leslie Compton, Compton was raised in the world of cricket.

After finishing his A levels at Harrow in June 2001, Compton signed a summer contract with Middlesex and made history when, in his first Second XI Championship game, he was the last of five batsmen to be dismissed by Glamorgan paceman Alex Wharf in six deliveries. After the 2001 season, Compton made his Middlesex first-team debut in the Norwich Union League. Batting at six, he managed only 6 runs off of 9 deliveries in a 40-run loss to Glamorgan. His impressive achievements for Middlesex’s Under-19s and Second XI earned him the 2001 NBC Denis Compton Award, given to the Middlesex player with the most significant promise. The award is named after his grandpa.

He was chosen for the England Under-19s team the following winter to compete in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in January and February 2002.  As England advanced to the second group stage, Compton participated in five of their six games, scoring 133 runs with one 50 at an average of 23. Compton played in his first U19 Test match against India in July 2002, but only scored six runs in two innings while opening the batting.  It took him until August to make his second first-team outing, during which he took part in four more Norwich Union League games and made an impressive 86 not out against Lancashire to record his first one-day half-century.  He received the Middlesex NBC Denis Compton prize for the second year in a row because of his potential. Due to an injury, Compton was unable to play for the Middlesex first team during the 2003 campaign.

He made his first-class debut in May 2004 against the Cambridge University Centre of Cricketing Excellence.  In addition to ten one-day games and his Twenty20 debut, Compton played three further matches in the County Championship that year. Although he only participated in one first-class game in 2005, the encounter against Cambridge UCCE saw him get his maiden fifty. He would continue honing his abilities by participating in domestic club cricket in Durban for Berea Rovers, the old neighbourhood team of Kevin Pietersen, an English cricketer of South African descent. Compton’s performance suffered during the 2007 season, making less than 400 runs in first-class cricket and just three fifties.

He also played for the Marylebone Cricket Club  against the County Champions of Sussex during that season. Nevertheless, his one-day form improved as he scored 110 unanswered against Sussex in the 2007 Friends Provident Trophy, marking his maiden List A century.  Compton only participated in five first-class games in the 2008 season, collecting just 68 runs at an average of 8.50, but the 2009 season showed a significant improvement, with Middlesex leading all teams in first-class cricket scoring with 860 runs, including two century and three half-centuries.

Compton was in excellent form for one-day cricket, scoring a best of 131 against Kent while amassing three hundred and 694 runs at an average of 77. After verbally agreeing with Middlesex’s managing director of cricket, Angus Fraser, when he signed a new contract a year ago that he would be free to go if he so desired after the season, Compton rejected an enhanced two-year deal.

He made a name for himself in 2006 with a streak of high scores, including six centuries, and the Middlesex team gave him a county cap that year. His debut season saw him lead Middlesex in first-class runs with 1,315 runs at an average of 46.96, and his best score of 190 in the County Championship match against Durham in July helped Middlesex tie the match after being forced to follow on.

Compton received the NBC Denis Compton Award for a third time in 2006 because to this accomplishment.  Compton was chosen to travel with the England A squad in Bangladesh in 2006–2007 due to his strong play.  Although he did smash 152* in one of the minor tour matches, his best first-class score was 92 against Bangladesh A, when he led the England A averages with 140 runs at 46.66.

Richard, Compton’s father, and Patrick, Compton’s uncle, both participated in first-class cricket for Natal in South Africa. Compton immigrated to England when he was a teenager, enrolling in Harrow School on a sports scholarship programme, where David Elleray, the housemaster, served as his mentor.  Compton made an impression for the school while serving as captain, scoring a number of hundreds, and he was productive for Middlesex’s Under-19 team in 2000.

Compton, who had just turned 18, played for an ECB Schools team against the West Indies Under-19s in three games as an opening batsman. He led the team in scoring with 74 in the third game.

He played for England Under-18s on the same trip a month later, scoring 42 while playing at number three. Compton enrolled at Durham University’s Hatfield College and started working on a social science degree. However, a recurring groin issue that ultimately required surgery limited his cricket and ultimately caused him to drop out of his degree. He made his List-A debut for Middlesex in 2001 and three years later made his first-class debut as a right-handed top-order batsman and sometimes right-arm off-spin bowler. After moving to Somerset in 2010, Compton established himself as a reliable scorer in a strong top order. In November 2012, after a successful domestic campaign, he earned his England Test debut against India.

Compton was one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year, according to the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, published in April 2013. In the 2013 campaign, he made a cameo for Worcestershire.By the conclusion of the 2014 campaign, Compton had left Somerset and was back with Middlesex. Compton declared on June 23, 2016, that he will be taking a lengthy vacation from the sport due to his underwhelming showings in the Test series against Sri Lanka. In August 2016, he resumed playing first-class cricket. He stepped down in 2018.
