Rahul Gandhi is the fourth generation Indian leader of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He is at present the President of the Indian National Congress. He also holds positions of the Chairperson of the National Students’ Union of India and the Indian Youth Congress. He was the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee earlier. He is a Member of Parliament representing the constituency of Amethi in Lok Sabha. At present, he is in the second rank as a Congress Working Committee member. Rahul Gandhi Biography:

Rahul Gandhi was born on 19 June 1970, Delhi. He was the first of the two children of Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi later became the Prime Minister of India, and Italian-born Sonia Gandhi who later became President of Indian National Congress, and as the grandson of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. His benevolent grandfather Feroze Gandhi was a Parsi from Gujarat. He is also the great-grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru who was India’s first Prime Minister. Priyanka Vadra is his younger sister and Robert Vadra is his brother-in-law. He identifies himself as a Hindu Brahmin.

Rahul Gandhi attended St. Columba’s School, Delhi before going to The Doon School in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He joined St. Stephen’s College, Delhi in 1989 for his undergraduate study. He moved to Harvard University after he completed the first year examinations. He shifted to Rollins College in Florida, USA in 1991 after Rajiv Gandhi was executed by the Tamil Tigers during an election rally. He obtained his B.A. in 1994. He then went on to obtain an M.Phil. from Trinity College, Cambridge in 1995. Rahul Gandhi worked at the Monitor Group, a management consulting firm, in London after graduation.
