After completing his education at St. Paul’s Catholic College in Manly, Ryan got his business degree from The University of Sydney. The television programs A Country Practice, Hey Dad..!, and Spellbinder are where Kwanten started in the acting industry. In 1997, he became a member of the cast of the Australian soap series Home and Away, in which he played the role of lifeguard Vinnie Patterson.

Ultimately, he decided to walk away from the series in 2002, not long after his character got married and had a child. Kwanten had previously appeared on the series in the role of Robbie Taylor as a guest performer in 1994. After moving to the United States, Kwanten was cast as Jay Robertson in the American television series Summerland (2004–2005). He had roles in the movies Flicka (2006) and Dead Silence (2007), both horror movies. In Dead Silence, he portrayed the main character, Jamie Ashen, while Flicka (2006) starred Maria Bello, Alison Lohman, and Tim McGraw.

Kwanten portrayed Dominic Pruitt, a US Marine Corps Master Sergeant accused of raping and killing a pregnant fellow Marine in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that aired on December 2, 2008. Kwanten played Dominic Pruitt in that episode. In the film Don’t Fade Away, released in 2009, he acted with Mischa Barton and Beau Bridges. Kwanten provided the voice for the character of Kludd in the epic animated film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, released in 2010. It was revealed in October 2010 that Kwanten will play the role of Charles Manson in a forthcoming biopic that has not yet been given a title and will be directed by Brad Anderson.

His most recent appearances are George Bell, a milkman, in 2021’s Them and Kindred, a TV adaptation of Octavia Butler’s novel of the same name. Jake was able to exact his vengeance on the person responsible for his family’s deaths. Still, he was jailed when a shadowy government organization hired him to perform their dirty work. Kwanten is perhaps best recognized for his part as Jason Stackhouse on True Blood. Still, his position in Section 8 is entirely different from that and requires him to undergo significant training and collaborate with some genuine action superstars.

Screen Rant had the opportunity to interview Kwanten about Section 8, which included his rigorous training, his favorite action sequence to shoot, how it felt to work with his co-stars, and more. After a disastrous breakup, Wes (Ryan Kwanten), going through a downward spiral, finds himself in a lonely rest stop several miles away from any form of human habitation. His predicament becomes much more dire when he discovers that the restroom is locked inside and that an unknown person — an Oscar winner named J.K. Simmons — is addressing him from an adjacent stall.

Glorious is a Shudder original film, and RLJE Films plans to release it on Blu-ray and DVD this Spring. The picture is a comic horror, and audiences will soon be able to bring it into their homes. The film’s Blu-ray and DVD are now available for fans to pre-order, with the Blu-ray version priced at $27.97 and the DVD version priced at $28.96. Both versions are slated to ship out on March 14.Both physical versions have the same cover art, which features Wes, the tale’s main character, in a disorderly pose while grasping a severed limb against a background of glowing purple light. This picture does an excellent job of expressing the atmosphere of the movie.

Fans can acquire the movie for themselves, even though neither the Blu-ray nor the DVD version of the picture has any added features they may enjoy. Ryan Kwanten plays the role of Wes, a man who finds himself in a lonely rest stop several miles away from the closest town after an excruciating breakup. However, things start to get worse when he finds himself trapped in a toilet with a mystery person, portrayed by J.K. Simmons, and communicates with him from another stall in the restroom.

Wes is now entangled in something much more horrific than he could have imagined, and he desperately has to find a means to escape it before his pulse stops pumping. The first public screening of Glorious took place at the Fantasia Film Festival in 2022, where it was met with favorable reviews from film critics. Many of these reviewers praised the film for the topics it explores and for the way, it blends horror and humor so well and has images inspired by Lovecraft. Chase Hutchinson of Collider added his voice to the chorus of praise for the film by saying, “This one is for the sickos among us, myself included, who are looking for a movie about the maniacal madness of the macabre.”

After having its world premiere at Fantasia Fest, the film was finally made available for streaming for the first time on Shudder in August of last year, where it was met with more great reactions and received a certified fresh score of 86% from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans can now add a new horror movie to their collection and re-experience the hilarious thrills in their splendor now that Glorious has finally had an official physical media release. A new intense and action-packed video for AMC’s upcoming drama Section 8 has been published. The movie stars Dolph Lundgren, Ryan Kwanten, and Scott Adkins in pivotal roles.

Jake (Kwanten), a former special forces member, is seen in the new video getting released from jail when it is revealed that the “two people he loved the most are gone.” He is taken in by a shadowy group known as Section 8, which has been mandated to “eliminate any threats, anywhere in the world.” In the teaser that lasts for almost two minutes, we see the assassins carrying out various tasks, one of which is to assassinate a senator. Jake reaches this stage in the novel when he learns that the mysterious organization is not what it appears to be, which sets up the primary conflict of the narrative.
