Satish Dwivedi is an Indian politician who currently serves as Minister of State for Primary Education and is a member of Uttar Pradesh’s 17th Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and represents the Itwa (Assembly constituency) constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

Satish Dwivedi was born on May 1, 1978, in Shanichara village in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharthnagar district to Ayodhya Prasad Dwivedi. He married Dr. Kalyani Dwivedi in 2009, and they have a son and a daughter. He was born into a Brahmin family. In 2010, he graduated from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University with a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.).

Dwivedi started his political career as a member of the student council. In his first attempt at the legislature, he was successful. He beat former assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey (Samajwadi Party) by 12,923 votes in the 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh (2017) elections.

After Yogi Adityanath’s first cabinet extension, he was appointed as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education in August 2019.
