Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT Subhash Palekar ?

Subhash Palekar is a farmer from India who has written many books on the formerly ZBNF Subhash Palekar Natural Farming (SPNF) (Zero Budget Natural Farming). Subhash Palekar was born in 1949 and has an agricultural background in a small village in Belora in the Vidarbha area of Maharashtra, India. He practised Natural Farming without the use of pesticides. He has held numerous workshops around India. In 2016, he received India’s fourth highest civil award, Padma Shri.

Palekar holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Agriculture, Nagpur in Agriculture. He worked with tribals in the Satpuda Tribal region during collegiate studies. In 1972, he and his father, a natural farmer, joined the family farm. After learning about pesticides and artificial fertilisers in college, Palekar began to apply them on his land. He also wrote several media pieces on agriculture while work from 1972-1990 and experimented with innovative farming practises.

He was attracted to the philosophy of the Vedas, Upanishads and all old Granthas. He was inspired by Saint Dhnyaneshwar, Saint Tukaram, and St Kabir in his spiritual background. He studied Gandhi and Karl Marx comparatively in search of the truth. Gandhi’s non-violence doctrine attracted more to him. His beliefs in pure natural truth and nonviolence were enforced by leading Indian figures like as Gandhi, Shivaji, Jyotiba Phule, Vivekananda and Tagore (Satya & Ahimsa). From 1972 to 1985, when agriculture grew with chemical inputs from the Green Revolution, its agricultural production increased. But yields began to decline after that date. After three years of researching the causes, he decided that agricultural science was inferior to natural agriculture practises.

He researched tribal customs and social structures and forest ecosystems while at college. He discovered that forests do not need human support for their life and growth. The forests nourish the forest residents with fruit-bearing trees such as Mango, Ber, Tamarind, Jamulum and Custard Apple. Thus, he began to investigate the natural growth of trees. For 20 years, he studied forestry and used forestry concepts in 154 research projects in his farm from 1989 to 1995. This formed the cornerstone of Zero Budget, its unique approach to manure and agroecology agriculture. Farmers around India have been supplied study material through ongoing workshops, seminars and publications in Marathi, Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. Thousands of agricultural models exist in India.

Palekar was a member of the Bali Raja editorial team, a prominent Marathi Agricultural Magazine in Pune, Maharashtra. He has written more than twenty Marathi books, four English books and three Hindi books. All Marathi novels must be translated into all Indian languages. His movement has drawn media, legislators and philosophers’ attention. In the sections of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradezh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Western Bengal around 30 million farmers across India practise natural agriculture.

On 14 June 2017, Sri Subhash Palekar was appointed adviser on Zero Budget Farming to the State of Andhra Pradesh with a view to promoting natural agriculture. The job of the consultant is similar to the rank of the firm. The government of Himachal Pradesh state and the state government of Karnataka also want to use the techniques of Palekar. Palekar presented the Zero Budget Natural Farming to Prime Minister narendra Modi.

In 2016 Palekar earned the Government of India’s fourth highest civilian Award Padma shri, becoming the first active Indian farmer.
