Mario Girotti, better known as Terence Hill, is an Italian actor, film director, screenwriter, and producer. Hill was born on March 29, 1939. He started his career as a child actor and rose to worldwide prominence for leading parts in action and comedy films. Many of these films were made with his longstanding film collaborator and friend Bud Spencer. During the height of his career, Hill was one of the most well-known and well-paid performers in Italy.
His comedic and traditional Spaghetti Westerns, some of which were adapted from well-known books about the Wild West written by German novelist Karl May, are among his most notable works. Of them, the most significant is “They Call Me Trinity” (1970), “…continuavano a chiamarlo Trinity” (1971), which is the biggest-grossing Italian film to date, and “Il mio nome è Nessuno” (1973), which co-stars Henry Fonda.
