Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT ANAND KUMAR.

Anand Kumar was born in Patna, Bihar to a middle-class family on January 1, 1973. His mother’s name is Jayanti Devi, and his brother’s name is Pranav Kumar, a skilled violinist. His father, a post office clerk, was unable to afford private schools for his children. Hence, he and his brother attended a government school with a Hindi medium, where he developed an interest in mathematics.

Anand Kumar graduated from B. N. College in Patna, where he founded the Ramanujam School of Mathematics in 1992 while still a student. Under the direction of his mentor and guru, the then-Head of the Department of Mathematics at Patna Science College, Devi Prasad Verma, he initiated a free training program for math enthusiasts. Every weekend, he had to take a 6-hour train ride to Varanasi to study at the Central Library, BHU, because the Patna University library lacked foreign journals. His brother, who was studying violin with N. Rajam, had a dorm room there, where Anand would spend the weekends.

In 1994, he was accepted to Cambridge and Sheffield universities, but after his father’s death, the family’s financial situation declined, and he was unable to obtain sponsors in Patna and Delhi. However, he maintained his studies and submitted a number of theory papers that were published in ‘Mathematical Spectrum’ and ‘The Mathematical Gazette’. Anand Kumar is an Indian educator who is most known for his ‘Super 30’ program, which helps intelligent students from impoverished backgrounds pass the Joint Admission Test for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), which is considered more difficult than the Harvard admissions exam.

Being a member of a low-income household, his hopes of pursuing mathematics at a higher level were dashed by the untimely death of his father. Afterward, he decided to ensure that fresh talent does not perish due to a lack of funds, and he founded the “Ramanujam School of Mathematics” to provide inexpensive instruction and subsidize the higher education of disadvantaged students. In spite of the fact that rival institutions have resorted to criminal activity to thwart his “revolution” to make education accessible to the poor, he is unfazed since he hopes to serve as a model for those who may establish similar efforts in the future. In addition, he feels that he is quietly fostering another type of revolution since clerks like his late father now hope that their children would become IAS officers rather than clerks as a result of his efforts.

Anand Kumar’s mother had opened a little shop at home where she prepared papad, which he delivered in the evening to supplement their income. As a result of his father’s demise in harness, he was also compelled to accept a class III position. Committed to teaching mathematics, he transformed the math club he founded in 1992 into a coaching school that trains needy students for various competitive exams for a modest cost. He rented a room for Rs. 500 per month and began with just two students. By the end of the year, he had 36 students, and within three years, he had 500.

Some students from disadvantaged homes were unable to afford even the reduced fee of Rs. 1,000 per year, despite the fact that the market price was Rs. In 2000, when he learned that one of these students wanted IIT-JEE counseling but could not pay the annual costs, he offered to support him. He phoned his brother back from Bombay and laid up a strategy to initiate the ‘Super 30’ program in 2002, which picked 30 meritorious children from extremely low homes for free-of-cost tutoring for IIT. In addition to study materials, he gives them free food and housing for a year.

Every year during the months of May and June, he administers a test to pick thirty exceptional children from economically disadvantaged segments of society. He prepares them for the exceedingly tough IIT-JEE examination for the next year. Since 2003, he has mentored 450 students through the program, of whom an astounding 391 passed the IIT-JEE and were admitted to the prestigious institution. Between 2008 and 2012, he achieved three consecutive 30/30 results. Anand Kumar’s attempt to transform the educational system with few resources has already been realized. He is determined to offer disadvantaged pupils with a superior education without financial assistance from outside sources.

In March 2009, Anand Kumar’s ‘Super 30’ program was featured in a one-hour Discovery Channel documentary. His astonishing narrative was subsequently published in a half-page New York Times piece. In the years that followed, he appeared on numerous BBC programs and in a documentary hosted by former Miss Japan Norika Fujiwara, who traveled to Patna to film his life. He has also been invited to talk on his experiences at IITs, IIM Ahmedabad, the University of British Columbia, Tokyo University, and Stanford University. In 2009, he was included in the Limca Book of Records for his efforts to give impoverished students IIT-JEE instruction. His ‘Super 30’ program was also listed on Time’s 2010 list of the Best of Asia.

He got the “S. Ramanujan Prize” from the Center for Research and Documentation in the Social Sciences in July 2010. (IRDS). The following month, Rashad Hussain, the special envoy for U.S. President Barack Obama, lauded his endeavors, calling the institute the “greatest” in the nation. In India, he earned the Ramanujan Mathematics Award at the Eighth National Mathematical Congress in Rajkot, Maharishi Ved Vyas, and an Honorary Doctor of Science from Karpagam University.

Overseas, he received recognition from the governments of British Columbia, Canada, and Saxony, Germany. Several government and non-government groups from India and beyond have sought Anand Kumar for financial assistance, but he is determined to fund ‘Super 30’ on his own. Although he finances the program by organizing evening classes in Patna, his mother prepares meals for the pupils while his brother handles the administration.
