Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT Angela Bassett?

Known for her roles in biographical films like “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and the “Rosa Parks Story,” Angela Bassett is an American actress. Over the course of her long career, she’s worked on a wide range of projects. It wasn’t until her 11th-grade field trip to Washington D.C. where she saw actor James Earl Jones perform in a “Kennedy Center” production of the play “Of Mice and Men” that she realized she loved acting. When she wasn’t acting, she was doing odd jobs like waiting on clients at a beauty salon and doing photo research for publications like “US News & World Report”. After that, she went on to prove her acting abilities in the theatre and then in films and television.

On August 16, 1958, in New York City, USA, Angela Evelyn Bassett was born to Betty Jane and Daniel Benjamin Bassett. Both her father and mother worked in the healthcare industry. Her parents sent her to live with her father’s sister Aunt Golden in Winston-Salem when she was just 10 months old. She and her younger sister D’nette were taken to live with their grandparents in St. Petersburg, Florida after their parents divorced.

On Sundays, Angela went to church and sang in the choir with the other kids her age. Her mother used to make her and her sister dance to ‘Motown’ hits on the radio, which she loved. At some point in the future, a neighboring woman offered to assist the boys in forming a dance crew

Her mother, who had slacked off in high school, was particularly concerned about her children’s academic performance because she didn’t want them to make the same mistakes she had. “Boca Ciega High School” is where Angela attended the “Upward Bound” program and graduated. She joined the debate team, the student government, the drama club, and the choir, among other organizations.

In 1980, she graduated from ‘Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in African-American studies. Three years later, she graduated with honors from the ‘Yale School of Drama,’ earning a Master of Fine Arts degree. Angela Bassett began her acting career on stage under the direction of renowned stage director Lloyd Richards. When she was a member of the ‘Yale Repertory Theatre,’ she appeared in two August Wilson plays: Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom in 1984 and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone in 1986. J. E. Franklin’s play, “Black Girl,” was on the same bill at the same time at the “Second Stage Theatre.”

She soon began watching television and movies instead. However, she was initially cast in roles that were deemed inappropriate for a white woman. In 1991, she was cast in John Singleton’s film ‘Boyz n the Hood,’ which became her breakthrough role. Laurence Fishburne, a fellow actor in the film, had referred her to the casting director.

In 1992, the role of ‘Katherine Jackson’ in the miniseries ‘The Jacksons: An American Dream was offered to Bassett, a big ‘Jackson 5’ fan. Her next role was in the biopic “Malcolm X” as “Betty Shabazz,” which came out the same year. When she returned to ‘Panther’ in 1995, she would reprise her ‘Betty Shabazz’ role.

There are two film adaptations of Terry McMillan’s books in which she had major roles: “Waiting to Exhale” (1995) and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” (1998; see below). In the former, she collaborated with one of the most celebrated female artists of all time, Whitney Houston.

In 2005, Angela Bassett starred in ‘His Girl Friday’ alongside her husband Courtney B. Vance in a stage production. The following year, she co-starred with Laurence Fishburne in ‘Fences,’ another August Wilson play.

As Rosa Parks in the biographical telefilm “The Rosa Parks Story,” she played the lead role in 2002. She appeared in the critically acclaimed film ‘Akeelah and the Bee,’ with Keke Palmer and Laurence Fishburne, in 2006. Her next role was in the biopic ‘Notorious,’ which came out in 2009.

Prior to being cast as ‘Dr. Cate Banfield’ in the long-running medical drama ‘ER,’ appeared in a number of shows as a guest star. Later, she appeared in five seasons of ‘American Horror Story,’ earning nominations for several awards for her work.

In 2016, she starred in the BBC Two miniseries “Close to the Enemy” as one of the main cast members. Two years later, in the superhero film ‘Black Panther,’ she played ‘Ramonda,’ the titular character’s mother. In ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ she’ll return as ‘Ramonda’ (2019). In the action spy film ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout,’ she starred alongside actors like Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, and Alec Baldwin (2018). Aside from that, she provided voice-over work for the animated film “Bumblebee” (2018)

Now she can be found in the Fox cop drama “9-1-1,” where she plays “Sergeant Athena Grant.” Other projects in the works for her include “Attorneys at Love” and “Milkshake with Gunpowder.”
