Anil Ravipudi is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter who mainly works in the cinema in Telugu. After graduating B.Tech in 2004, Anil joined his uncle, P. A. Arun Prasad, as assistant director. Then he wrote the films Masala (2013) and Aagadu as dialogue writer for films such as Souryam (2008), Sankham (2009) and Kandireega (2011). (2014). In the latter’s debut as director of Kandireega, Anil Ravipudi collaborated with Santosh Srinivas (2011) as a writer and wrote the script for Pataas.Through a friend, he later approached Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. After finishing his writing, he met Kalyan Ram again and proceeded to work on the picture. In an interview, Ravipudi claimed the film is modelled off Singam (2010) and is about a corrupt cop that changes for the good, adding that it will be Kalyan Ram’s make-up. In an interview, Ravipudi revealed that the film was shot within 70 working days, added that he directed the picture without a scene paper and knew all the character and scene dialogue in his hand. The film earned positive critical reviews and was successful in the box office.
Anil Ravipudi is a Tollywood-based Indian screenwriter and filmmaker. After finishing his B.Tech, he became an assistant director in the film industry. For films such as “Souryam,” “Sudigadu,” “Ala Modalaindi,” and “Masala,” Anil worked as a dialogue writer. He made his debut as director with Kalyan Ram’s 2015 film ‘Pataas.’ The film played well at the box office and was praised by both critics and moviegoers. He directed a series of successful commercial films such as Supreme, Raja the Great and F2: Fun and Frustration. He is one of the rare few film filmmakers in South Indian to preserve a 100% success rate.
He travelled to Hyderabad after finishing his B.Tech. and worked as an assistant director for his uncle, PA Arun Prasad. He began to work as a dialogue writer, started his career with ‘Souryam’ and finally began to churn out screenplays.
After a successful career as an assistant manager, dialogue writer and writer, he wrote and told Kalyan Ram about the script for the ‘Pataas’ (2015). He claimed he wrote it along the lines of “Singham,” which includes an explosive tale about Telugu’s birth and about a corrupt cop that changes for the good. He wrote it such that it worked for Kalyan Ram as an image overhaul. And as he thought, the film worked for Kalyan Ram, which gave him a much needed break in his career. The film became a great hit and received Anil’s criticism. Comedian veteran MS Narayana was also involved in the cast and died on ‘Pataas’ release date, 23 January 2015. The film was made in Tamil with Raghava Lawrence and Nikki Galrani in the lead as the ‘Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva’ and was also hit in Tamil. Kannada was also renamed “Pataaki” with Ganesh and Ranya Rao.
In 2016, Sai Dharam Tej and Rasshi Khanna came with his next, ‘Supreme’ in leading roles. The movie struck the bull at the box office and Anil also earned a second mega hit. In 2017, for the second time he reunited with Dil Raju and Shirish for ‘Raja The Great’ under Sri Venkateswara Creations. This film marked Ravi Teja’s return after a brief break and starring Mehreen Kaur. Ravi Teja was seen in this flick as a visually handicapped individual.
Though Anil Ravipudi has built an excellent reputation as a bankable director in a short time. He was the Best Debut Director for the CineMAA Award.
