Mumbai: Bollywood actress Dia Mirza on Thursday announced that she and husband Sahil Sangha have decided to separate after being together for 11 years, but will remain friends.
In her Twitter handle, Dia wrote, “After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate”.
“We remain friends and will continue to be there for each other with love and respect. While our journeys may lead us down different paths, we are forever grateful for the bond that we share with each other”, she added.
The beauty queen who won “Miss Asia Pacific 2000” title is best known for her roles in “Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein”, “Dum” and “Sanju”. She also co-owns a production house with Sangha, producing films such as “Love Breakups Zindagi” and “Bobby Jasoos”.
Mirza and Sangha got married on 18 October 2014 at her husband’s sprawling farmhouse in Chattarpur on the outskirts of Delhi. While the couple has been married for five years, both shared a strong bond for the last 11 years.
