Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT GAUTHAM MENON?

Gautham Menon was born on February 25, 1973, in Ottapalam, a town in Kerala’s Palakkad district. He is born to a Malayali father and a Tamilian mother. In 2007, his father passed away. He grew raised in Anna Nagar, Chennai, despite being born in Kerala. He attended Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School for his education. He then graduated from Pudukkottai’s Mookambigai College of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Gautham is married to Preethi Menon, with whom he has three boys. His sister, costume designer Uthara Menon, has worked on his films since Yennai Arindhaal (2015).

Menon was inspired by his time at university to write the lead roles of Minnale, Vaaranam Aayiram, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Neethaane En Ponvasantham, and Enai Noki Paayum Thota, all of whom were fellow students. He was influenced by films like Dead Poets Society (1989) and Nayakan (1987) around this time and voiced his intention to change his professional path and become a filmmaker to his parents.

His mother insisted that he train as an ad film director by shooting a variety of commercials, and he did so under filmmaker Rajiv Menon. After that, he worked as an assistant director on Minsara Kanavu (1997), in which he also had a cameo appearance.

In 2000, Menon released the Tamil romantic film O Lala, which later changed producers and titles to Minnale (2001), with Madhavan, who was just starting out in his career, cast in the lead role. Menon said that making the film was challenging because the crew was new to the field, with only the film’s editor, Suresh Urs, being an experienced technician.

When Madhavan asked that the story of the film be told to the actor’s guru, Mani Ratnam, to see if it was a good career move, Menon was put under even more pressure. Despite his doubts, Menon went ahead and did so, and Ratnam was unimpressed; nonetheless, Menon later stated that Madhavan “felt guilty” and consented to finish the project. Abbas and newcomer Reemma Sen both had prominent roles in the film, and Menon debuted Harris Jayaraj as the film’s soundtrack composer.

In 2001, the film was released on Valentine’s Day and featured the story of a young man who falls in love with the girl who is engaged to his ex-college rival. It was a commercial success and received great reviews from critics when it was released, with assertions that it had “a lot of vim and vitality” and was “technically brilliant.”

Due to the film’s success, producer Vashu Bhagnani hired Madhavan to direct the Hindi language version, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001), which starred Dia Mirza and Saif Ali Khan. Menon was originally hesitant but said it only took “half an hour” for them to agree. However, contrary to his wishes, the producer chose not to keep the original’s technical crew. The film’s failure disappointed him, and Menon later claimed that the picture lacked the simplicity of the original, with the producer’s intervention interfering with the proceedings.

Several years after its initial release, the picture was reintroduced to the public through television broadcasts, and it quickly garnered a cult following among young Hindi-speaking viewers. Menon was approached in 2011 by the film’s producer to remake Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein with the producer’s son Jackky Bhagnani in the starring role, but he declined. Later in 2001, it was claimed that he was working on a film provisionally titled Iru Vizhi Unadhu, but the project never saw the light of day.

Gautham Menon made his comeback in 2003 with the realistic police thriller Kaakha Kaakha (2003), which starred Suriya, Jyothika, and Jeevan. The film depicted a police officer’s personal life and how gangsters affect it, providing a unique view of police compared to other Tamil films of the time.

Menon claimed that he was inspired to make the film after reading headlines about encounter experts shooting gangsters and receiving threatening calls in return and that he approached Madhavan, Ajith Kumar, and later Vikram for the role, but none of them wanted to portray a cop. Jyothika, the lead actress, requested that Menon consider Suriya for the role, and he was chosen when Menon saw his performance in Nandha. Before beginning filming, he held a script rehearsal with the actors, a costume trial with Jyothika, and then put Suriya in a commando training school, which he described as a “highly organised shot.”

Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007), based on James Siegel’s novel Derailed, starred Sarath Kumar and Jyothika and was released in February 2007. Initially, the lead part was offered to Kamal Haasan, who declined, while Cheran and Madhavan declined due to scheduling and image issues, respectively. Menon met Sarath Kumar at an event where he expressed interest in changing his “action” image, and Menon put him in the starring part.

During filming, the film saw more casting issues, with Simran opting out of her allotted role and being replaced by Shobana when another actress, Tabu, also turned down the role. Shobana was also replaced as Kalyani in the film with Andrea Jeremiah, a rookie. The picture was in production for over a year, and it ran concurrently with the release of his previous feature, which had been significantly delayed.

Menon returned to Bollywood with Ekk Deewana Tha (2012), a Hindi version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya starring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson. Menon is also working on a number of potential directing projects. In late 2016, he began producing and directing Dhruva Natchathiram, a spy thriller starring Vikram and an ensemble cast. Despite having regular release dates throughout 2017, the film has been put on hold while Menon seeks funding. He has agreed to make an anthology film for Netflix, as well as a feature starring Varun named Joshua: Adhiyayam Ondru for Vels Film International.
