Stephen Curry is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association for the Golden State Warriors (NBA). He is a point guard for the team. He has been dubbed the greatest shooter in NBA history by several experts and players. He is credited with changing the game of basketball by pushing teams to use the three-point shot on a regular basis. Curry, a seven-time NBA All-Star, has twice been awarded NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) and has led the Warriors to three NBA titles.

He’s a unique individual.” Curry scored 15 points in his debut collegiate game against Eastern Michigan, but he also had 13 turnovers. He scored 32 points, threw out four assists, and grabbed nine rebounds in the next game against Michigan.
Curry led the Southern Conference in scoring this season, averaging 21.5 points per game. He finished second in scoring among rookies in the country, trailing only Texas’ Kevin Durant. Curry’s scoring prowess guided the Wildcats to a 29–5 overall record and a regular-season Southern Conference title. Curry hit his 113th three-pointer of the season against Furman in the Southern Conference tournament semi-finals on March 2, 2007, surpassing Keydren Clark’s NCAA rookie season record for 3-point field goals.
Curry won his first MVP award in 2014–15, leading the Warriors to their first title since 1975. He went on to become the only player in NBA history to be unanimously named MVP and to lead the league in scoring while shooting beyond 50–40–90.
In the same year, the Warriors surpassed the record for most victories in an NBA season on way to the 2016 NBA Finals, where they were defeated in seven games by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry was a key part of the Warriors’ comeback to the NBA Finals in 2017, 2018, and 2019, where they won back-to-back titles before losing to the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
Curry established the NBA record for three-pointers made in a regular season with 272 during the 2012–13 season. In 2015, he set a new record with 286, and in 2016, he set a new one with 402. He is presently ranked second in NBA history for made three-pointers.
