In the same year, the Warriors surpassed the record for most victories in an NBA season on way to the 2016 NBA Finals, where they were defeated in seven games by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry was a key part of the Warriors’ comeback to the NBA Finals in 2017, 2018, and 2019, where they won back-to-back titles before losing to the Toronto Raptors in 2019.

Curry established the NBA record for three-pointers made in a regular season with 272 during the 2012–13 season. In 2015, he set a new record with 286, and in 2016, he set a new one with 402. He is presently ranked second in NBA history for made three-pointers.
