Jagat Prakash Nadda (born December 2, 1960) is an Indian politician and lawyer who has been the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since January 20, 2020. From June 2019 to January 2020, he served as the BJP’s working president.
Nadda is a former Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, as well as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Himachal Pradesh and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Parliamentary Board Secretary.

After experiencing symptoms, Nadda tweeted to his followers on December 13, 2020, that he had been found positive for coronavirus. He also urged those who had been in touch with him in recent days to remove themselves and seek medical attention. In the 1993 election from Bilaspur, Nadda was first elected to the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In 1998, he was re-elected. From 1994 to 1998, he was the Leader of his party’s legislative group in the H.P.
Legislative Assembly. During his second term, he served as Minister of Health and Family Welfare as well as Parliamentary Affairs. In the 2007 elections, Nadda was re-elected for a second term.
