Jamie Chung was born in San Francisco, USA, on April 10, 1983. Her parents are Korean immigrants of the first generation, who have moved to the US in 1980 and opened up a burger group called Tony’s in North Beach, predominantly Italian. Her dad also changed Tony’s name.

In San Francisco’s Ingleside area, Jamie and her elder sister Jean were raised in Korean tradition and had to speak in Korean only at home. Most of them ate Korean dishes such as kimchi and were sent to Korean church camps in the summer.

As a child, she had an identity crisis, was taught at school, and struggled to fit the American society. At the same time, she struggled to speak fluent Korean during her entire lifetime. Korean classes

She began her Commodore Sloat Elementary School education before moving to Aptos Middle School, where she graduated in 1997. She then moved to Lowell High School, where she finished her studies in 2001.

She joined the University of California, Riverside, and joined the Kappa Gamma Sorority in 2001 by working on two jobs, one of them as a waitress at a small bar. She graduated there in 2005 with a B.A. in economics. In 2003, Jamie Chung made a breakthrough when MTV called The Real World in the bar in which she worked. She participated in the audition, encouraged by the casting director, and was eventually selected for her 14th season in San Diego from 6 January to 29 June 2004.

In 2005 she was a member of the Good Guys team at her spinoff, an event called The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Inferno II. The show lasted from 7 March to 20 June and although her team won the challenge, its career had a negative impact.

She probably moved to Los Angeles in 2005 after graduation from college to become a full-time actress. But the casting directors refused to take it seriously because of their realistic background and continued to fail in hearings. She wouldn’t give up, however.

She hanged in the set every day for 18 hours, hoping to get hired as a supplement, eventually managing single-line roles on numerous TV productions. In 2006 she finally appeared as a flirting girl in Veronica Mars’ episode Spit & Eggs.

By 2007, she began to appear in numerous TV productions, including ten Days of Our Lives episodes. She also made her film debut in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry in the same year as a hooter girl.

In 2009 she also appeared in three films, starring in DragonBall Evolution as Chi-Chi, in Sorority Row as Clarie Wen, and in Palm Burning as Ginny Bai. In 2010 Grown-Ups followed, in which she took on the role of Amber Hilliard.

In 2011, she released two films, The Hangover Part II and Sucker Punch, which were starring Amber in the latest film. The role required her to undergo physical training with Navy SEALs and to work with choreographers in stunt and combat.

Another milestone of her career was her appearance as Nima in Premium Rush (2012). Eden, The Man with the Iron Fists, and Knife Fight followed in the same year. She was also chosen in 2012 to act as Mulan in 12 episodes from time to time.

In 2014, she appeared in 13 episodes of Believe as Janice Channing. She had five films released on the big screen that year, too. The film’s voice included Flight 7500, Bad Johnson, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Rudderless, and Big Hero 6.

Jamie Chung continued to play the role of the regular serial Olivia in seven episodes of resident advisors in 2015. Two films, Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong and A Year and Change, were released.

She appeared in six Gotham episodes in 2016 and released two movies, Flock of Dudes and Office Christmas Party. She was also cast in Miranda’s rights as Attorney Lana Harris in the same year, but she was not televised for any reason by NBC.

From November 2017 to February 2021, in 45 episodes of the Big Hero 6: The Series, she appears as Go Go Tomago. She played the role of Clarice Fong/Blink in 29 episodes of The Gifted from October 2017 to February 2019.
