On March 31, 2023, Jisoo debuted as a solo artist by releasing a single album titled “Me.” The album was the first to sell over a million copies. Its debut single, “Flower,” was a financial triumph, reaching its most fantastic position on the Billboard Global 200 and the Circle Digital Chart at number two. This achievement made Jisoo the first female K-pop soloist in history to have sold one million copies of her album.

Jisoo’s song “Flower” reached 100 million streams on Spotify in 32 days after the release of her solo album, which is the highest record for a female K-pop soloist. It broke her bandmate Lisa’s paper on the same platform (it took Lisa 37 days to achieve the same amount after the release of her solo album). In the yearly polls of Gallup Korea, Jisoo was named the tenth most popular K-pop star in 2018 and the seventeenth most popular in 2019.

This institute evaluated data from companies and customers’ online habits to determine which factors had a big influence on the consumption and interest in products. Seong-sun Lim, director of the Korean Language Research Institute, observed that the Korean wave in the worldwide community swiftly undermined traditional Western cultural supremacy. He did this by identifying Jisoo and Jungkook as the benchmarks for international beauty rather than actresses Olivia Hussey and James Dean.

In the year 2020, the rise in revenue that Dior experienced in South Korea amid the COVID-19 epidemic was credited, in part, to a marketing campaign that included Korean pop singers like Jisoo. She participated in advertising the new Bobby Bag by Dior and other notable influencers, including Chiara Ferragni and Kat Graham. Jisoo, who represented her home country of Korea during the presentation for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection, attracted much attention.
