In 1994, Les Stroud tied the knot with Sue Jamison. At a winter camping course, the two met. A friendship blossomed into something more romantic. In Les Stroud’s survival efforts, Sue is a key cog in Les’s naturalist’s wheelhouse. They lived in the bushes for a year without any inside heating or plumbing, and they had no electricity or running water. Sue miscarried and lost her first kid during her year in the bush. She went on to have two more children, Raylan and Logan Stroud. Les and Sue divorced in 2008, ending their 14-year marriage.
