Odell Cornelious Beckham Jr. was born on November 5, 1992, and is now a free agent in American football. In 2012, Beckham was a sophomore with the Tigers and started 12 of the team’s 13 games. In the first game of the season, which was a victory by a score of 41–14 over the North Texas Mean Green, he scored the first punt return touchdown of his collegiate career with a return of 70 yards in the first quarter.  In his first career game against the Towson Tigers on September 29, he racked up more than 100 yards of total offense for the first time.

During the victory over the Tigers by a score of 38–22, he had five receptions for 128 yards and scored two touchdowns. On November 17, when they played a foe from the SEC West, Ole Miss, he was only allowed to have two receptions for 13 yards, but he scored a touchdown on a punt return that covered 89 yards in the fourth quarter, which helped tie the game.
