Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT PEMA KHANDU?

Pema Khandu is an Indian politician who currently serves as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Since taking office as chief minister in July 2016, he and his government have switched parties twice: first from the Indian National Congress to the Peoples Party of Arunachal, and then to the Bharatiya Janata Party in December 2016. He recently worked in Nabam Tuki’s government as Minister of Tourism, Urban Development, and Water Resources.

Pema Khandu Biography:

Pema Khandu was born on 21 August 1979, Tawang. Khandu is the eldest son of former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who passed away in a helicopter accident while on a constituency visit to Tawang on April 30, 2011. He is a Hindu College graduate (Delhi University). Khandu is a Buddhist by faith.

Career:

Khandu was appointed Cabinet Minister for Water Resource Development and Tourism after his father’s death.  On 30 June 2011, he received an uncontested by-election to his father’s constituency of Mukto as an Indian National Congress candidate.

In 2005, Khandu was appointed secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee, and in 2010, he was elected president of the Tawang District Congress Committee. On July 16, 2016, he was elected Congress Legislature Party leader, succeeding Nabam Tuki.

Khandu was unchallenged for re-election from Mukto in the 2014 Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. Khandu took the oath of office as Arunachal Pradesh’s chief minister on July 17, 2016, at the age of 37, after a year-long political crisis.

On 16 September 2016, 43 MLAs from the ruling party, under the CM Pema Khandu, defected from Indian National Congress to the People’s Party of Arunachal, an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a high-octane drama, Khandu was expelled from the party by the party president on 21 December 2016, and Takam Pario was named as the next likely Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, replacing Khandu after the People’s Party of Arunachal suspended Khandu along with six other MLAs.

In December 2016, Khandu demonstrated the majority on the floor of the house when 33 of the People’s Party of Arunachal’s 43 legislators joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, increasing the BJP’s strength to 45 with the support of two independents, as it already had 11 MLAs. He was appointed as the second Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh by the Bharatiya Janata Party after Gegong Apang led the government for 44 days in 2003.
