Raghav Chadha is an Indian politician and accountant. He is a representative of the Aam Aadmi Party and is considered to be AAP’s youngest spokesperson.
Raghav Chadha Biography:
Raghav Chadha was born in Delhi on 11 November 1988. His zodiac sign is Scorpio. He studied at Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School, Humayun Road, New Delhi. He did BCom (Bachelor of Commerce) at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. He only graduated for a year, and then chosen for correspondence to pursue Chartered Accounting, which he did at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Delhi. After graduating, he went to the London School of Economics (LSE) to pursue a few programs.
His father’s name is Sunil Chadha. He is known to be one of the most eligible bachelors with women who see him as adorable and often send him proposals for marriage. Talking about it, he says, I’m single. I don’t have time to watch a movie, do you think I’m going to have time for a girl? There’s only one girl who understands my schedule, and that’s my mother.
Career:
In 2012, he joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Soon after joining AAP, he became a Party Treasurer and was appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, in 2016.
He was appointed to assist Sisodia in the preparation of the 2016-17 budget at Rs. 1 per month. In 2018, he contested the election of Lok Sabha in the South Delhi Parliament in the 2019 elections. He lost the BJP candidate, Ramesh Bidhuri, in the elections. In February 2020, he contested from the Rajinder Nagar constituency in the 2020 Delhi Assembly Elections and won against BJP’s candidate, RP Singh.
Controversy:
1. In April 2018, the then Minister of Home Affairs of the Union, Rajnath Singh, ended his appointment as Advisor to Manish Sisodia. In a letter to the Ministry, he referred the date of his appointment to the office he had served; returned the amount of Rs. 2.5 for the 75 days of his service as an adviser. He added, “I accept my retrospective sacking from the post I held for 75 days two years ago.”
