Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is a famous name of Jagadish “Jaggi” Vasudev. He is an author and yogi from India. Jaggi Vasudev was born to a Telugu-speaking family in Mysore, Karnataka, India on September 3, 1957. He was the youngest of four siblings, which included two brothers and two sisters. His mother was a housewife, while his father worked as an ophthalmologist for the Indian Railways. Because to his father’s work, the family had to relocate frequently. For a short period, he resided in Shimoga, Chikkaballapur, and Guntakal before returning to Mysore with his family in 1969.
Vasudev has a natural affinity for nature when he was a child. As a kid, he spent time alone in the woods and acquired an interest in snakes, which he kept as pets. In Mysore, he conducted his first yoga lesson to seven people in 1983. Over time, he began travelling around Karnataka and Hyderabad on his motorcycle, subsisting on the output of his chicken farm rental and donating the funds collected from his pupils to a local charity on the last day of class.
His initial venture was a chicken farm in a secluded area in Mysore. He picked poultry since it was a growing industry in the area at the time. He used borrowed funds to start his farm. Vasudev opted to build the farm buildings and bird cages himself over the course of six months due to budget restrictions. During the construction of his farm, he began producing bricks, which he quickly turned into a second company.
