Bhagwant Mann was born on 17 October 1973 in Satoj village, Sangrur district, Punjab, India. He was born in a Sikh Family. Mohinder Singh is his father and Harpal Kaur is his mother. He is married to Inderpreet Kaur. They got divorced in 2015. He also has a son and a daughter. His Zodiac Sign is Libra. He finished his Ist year of B.Com from Shaheed Udam Singh Government College Sunam in 1992.
Comedy Career of Bhagwant Mann:
Mann has participated in youth entertainment festivals and inter-college competitions. He won two gold medals at the Punjabi University competition, Patiala for Shaheed Udham Singh Government College, Sunam.
Mann has established comedy routines on typical Indian topics such as politics, business, and sport. His first comedy album was Jagtar Jaggi. Together, they created a television program named Jugnu Kehnda Hai for Alpha ETC Punjabi. Ten years later, they parted. Then Bhagwant Mann formed a comedy partnership with Rana Ranbir. Together they created the TV show, Jugnu Mast Mast for Alpha ETC Punjabi. In 2006, Mann and Jaggi reunited and toured Canada and England with their No Life With Wife series.
In 2008, Bhagwant Mann competed for Star Plus at the Great Indian Laughter Challenge, which increased his audience. He also starred in the National Award-winning film “Maa Punjab Dee” directed by Balwant Dullat. Mann acted on MH One in Jugnu Hazir Hai.
Role in Politics:
Mann joined the People’s Party of Punjab in early 2011. In 2012, he contested the elections in the electoral district of Lehragaga without success.
In March 2014, Mann joined the Aam Aadmi Party to contest the elections in the Sangrur Lok Sabha electoral district. He won 211,721 votes. He was also the convenor of AAP Punjab but resigned after Arvind Kejriwal made an unconditional apology to Bikaramjeet Majithia for the drug trafficking event. n 2017, he contested the Jalalabad elections against Sukhbir Singh Badal and Ravneet Singh Bittu. He lost 18,500 votes in Badal ‘s elections.
In 2019, he again won Sangrur’s Lok Sabha seat in the Indian general election by 111,111 votes. He is a Member of Parliament of the Aam Aadmi Party in the lower house (Lok Sabha) of the Parliament.
