Aujla began his career by writing lyrics for Jassi Gill’s “Range” from his album Replay. He then moved to Canada and wrote lyrics for numerous other artists, including Deep Jandu and Elly Mangat. In 2016, he released his debut song “Property of Punjab” as a leading artist, and began performing as a guest artist in songs.

Aujla was born on 18 January 1997 in Ghural, Punjab, India. His father’s name was Balwinder Singh Aujla, and his mother’s name was Rajinder Kaur. His parents died when he was nine years old. After his parent’s death, he was raised by his sisters and uncle. His father worked in a cooperative society. After that, he began to write songs.
While studying in the 9th standard, Aujla met Jassi Gill at a wedding ceremony and offered him the lyrics of the song Range, which Gill sang and became famous. Aujla received his permanent residence in Canada and emigrated there. He studied high school in Burnaby, Canada. He also worked part-time as a longshoreman in Surrey, British Columbia. His debut song “Cell Phone” with Mac Benipal was released in 2014, it was a commercial failure, and had just a few thousand views. In Canada, he started working with Deep Jandu in his studio in Toronto.
On 9 June 2019, Aujla himself asserted the news to be a rumor spread through news channels. However, the attack was confirmed by other sources. The gangster Sukhpreet Budda, who took responsibility for what happened, was arrested by Interpol in Armenia in November 2019. In March 2020 he had the tattoos of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh and Udham Singh on his left arm. In an interview, Aujla expressed his willingness to work with the American rapper 50 Cent and Canadian rapper Drake.

His written “Blessings of Bapu”, sung by Kokri, was well received by the audience. Later in 2016, he released his debut song “Property of Punjab” as a leading artist; he began performing raps in songs.
After that, he released tracks as a leading artist. His recordings are “Alcohol 2” “Yaarian Ch Fikk” “Shit Talk” “Up & Down” and “Lafaafe” He finally made his breakthrough with the song “Don’t Worry” featuring Gurlez Akhtar in it. The song’s music video was viewed over a hundred million times on YouTube, and it became Aujla’s first song to be part of the UK Asian music chart.
The song was followed by other hits like “Rim vs Jhanjhar”, “Na Na Na” and “No Need”. “Rim vs Jhanjhar” was included in the Punjabi Essentials playlist of Apple Music 2010. His song “Don’t Look” has remained in the Asian Music Chart for more than twenty-four weeks. The song was also featured in the 2019 Apple Music India charts.
Aujla also became the most-listed artist in Punjab, India, on YouTube in December 2019. His next song “Chitta Kurta” was also at number 35 and 9 on the Global and Indian YouTube charts. In 2019, Spotify included Aujla in the list of Punjab’s most famous musicians. He was also awarded for the Singer-Punjabi category at Gaana User’s Choice Icons Award.
In 2020, his song “Jhanjarmusic “‘s video was viewed more than five million times within 24 hours on YouTube and was topped by trend lists in Australia, Canada, and India. The song was ranked at number 26 on Global and number 8 on the Indian YouTube music charts. It also entered the top ten on the UK Asian music chart. His next song “Red Eyes” reached number 8 on the UK Asian and was also featured on other YouTube charts.
His four singles “Red Eyes”, “Sheikh”, “Chitta Kurta” and “Jhanjar” were released simultaneously on the UK Asian chart in May 2020. In the same month, Aujla said on his live Instagram that he was working on his new album. In June 2020, his “Let ’em Play” hit number 14 on the Apple Music chart and debuted number 15 on the UK Asian chart. In July 2020, “So Far” became the first track to enter the top 5 of the UK Asian chart.
His “Haan Haige Aa” was viewed approximately eleven million times in twenty-four hours. In the same month, the release of “G.O.A.T.” from Diljit Dosanjh’s album of the same name became a large business success. Also, the song debuted at number 13 on New Zealand Hot Singles by Recorded Music NZ, and topped UK Asian, UK Punjabi, and Top Thriller Global chart by Billboard, and became his first song to appear on any New Zealand and Billboard official chart.
It debuted at number one on the Apple Music chart in India. In August 2020, “Kya Baat Aa” featuring Tania in his music video was released without any prior announcement. The song hit number one on the Indian Spotify Chart. His next song, “Adhiya” was released on YouTube in October 2020. His song “Chithiyan” inaugurated by Speed Records on 10 November 2020, gathered 32 million views within 15 months of its release.
After the incident, both of them started targeting each other on social media. The conflict was resolved temporarily until Karan Aujla released the diss-track “Lafaafe” followed by Moose Wala’s “Warning Shots”. Aujla said in an interview that he didn’t write the track “Lafaafe” and that he didn’t reveal anything about their conflict. In February 2020, Chandigarh Police advised him not to sing any of his songs promoting violence, weapons, or drugs during his concert at DAV College, Chandigarh. He said, “I followed the instructions of senior police officers.”
