Jaskaran Singh “Karan” Aujla is an Indian singer, songwriter, and rapper widely recognized for his work in Punjabi music. He is best known for the songs “Don’t Look”, “Chitta Kurta” “Don’t Worry”, “Hint” and “Sheikh”.
Aujla began his career by writing lyrics for Jassi Gill’s “Range” from his album Replay. He then moved to Canada and wrote lyrics for numerous other artists, including Deep Jandu and Elly Mangat. Karan Aujla Biography:
Aujla was born on 18 January 1997 in Ghural, Punjab, India. His father’s name was Balwinder Singh Aujla, and his mother’s name was Rajinder Kaur. His parents died when he was nine years old. After his parent’s death, he was raised by his sisters and uncle. His father worked in a cooperative society. After that, he began to write songs.
While studying in the 9th standard, Aujla met Jassi Gill at a wedding ceremony and offered him the lyrics of the song Range, which Gill sang and became famous. Aujla received his permanent residence in Canada and emigrated there. He studied high school in Burnaby, Canada. He also worked part-time as a longshoreman in Surrey, British Columbia. His debut song “Cell Phone” with Mac Benipal was released in 2014, it was a commercial failure, and had just a few thousand views. In Canada, he started working with Deep Jandu in his studio in Toronto.

The song hit number one on the Indian Spotify Chart. His next song, “Adhiya” was released on YouTube in October 2020. His song “Chithiyan” inaugurated by Speed Records on 10 November 2020, gathered 32 million views within 15 months of its release.
Aujla is in rivalry with Sidhu Moose Wala. They’ve both been responding to each other through their songs. Both singers have been criticized for singing violence-promoting songs. Elly Mangat, who had worked previously with both songwriters, revealed in an interview that the dispute between the two singers had begun when Sidhu’s video targeting Aujla in his song had leaked to Aujla’s management, threatening to attack Sidhu.
After the incident, both of them started targeting each other on social media. The conflict was resolved temporarily until Karan Aujla released the diss-track “Lafaafe” followed by Moose Wala’s “Warning Shots”.
