In 2014, he founded SKF, a new production company (Salman Khan Films). Dr. Cabbie, a Canadian film, was the first to be released under this label. The picture grossed $350,452 on its first day in theatres. The following films under this banner were Hero, in which he also sang the title song “Hero” by Nikhil Advani and starred Aditya Pancholi’s son Suraj Pancholi and Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty; and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, directed by Kabir Khan and starring Khan himself alongside Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
