Today I will tell you about HOW TO CONTACT JAMES BOWEN?

On March 15th, 1979, in Surrey, England, a boy named James Bowen was born. Writer and producer, he has worked on films such as A Street Cat Named Bob (2016), A Christmas Gift from Bob (2020), and ITV News London (2010-2013). (1993).
James Bowen is a London-based author and street performer. Both of his novels, “A Street Cat Named Bob” and “The World According to Bob,” were international best sellers.

In March 1979, James Bowen was born in Surrey. He relocated to Australia with his mother and stepfather after his parents divorced. While still in school, he developed ADHD, schizophrenia, and manic depression, becoming a self-confessed “tearaway kid” who would eventually be diagnosed. As time went on, he was forced to sleep on the streets after returning to the UK in 1997 and living with his half-sister. For the next nine years, James lived on the streets or in shelters operated by charities, and it was during this time that he first tried heroin as a way to cope with his situation.

While busking in Covent Garden that spring and staying in a shelter in Tottenham, London, James was enrolled in a methadone treatment program. A ginger cat was in his building’s corridor one evening when he arrived home. Assuming the cat belonged to another resident, he went straight back to his apartment. At some point after two days, James got concerned when he realized that the cat had no collar or ID tag, and an infected cut on his leg. Having asked about, James found that no one else claimed the stray cat as their own, so he decided to step in and assist the animal out on his own.

His vet prescribed medication for the cat after he brought it to a neighboring animal charity clinic for treatment of the infected wound. James decided to take the stray in for the duration of the two-week course of medication so that he could continue his search for the stray’s owner. When he ran out of options, he let the cat go back into the street in the hopes that he’d find his way home on his own. As a result, he started following James around, even following him into the bus as he departed to busk. For safety’s sake, James adopted the cat and named him Bob in honor of Twin Peaks character Bob Lee Swaggerty, who was featured in the television show.

A shoelace harness was made into a sling and worn by Bob while he rode the 73 bus from Covent Garden to Piccadilly, where he would meet James on his way to and from work. James began selling The Big Issue, and their popularity skyrocketed as a result of the favorable response they received. Covent Garden became a tourist destination for people from all over the world after people started posting footage of James and Bob on YouTube. “I feel it came down to this tiny man,” James said at the time of withdrawing from methadone therapy. He came to me and asked for my help, and he needed me more than I needed to torture my own body. “He is the reason I get out of bed in the morning; he has given me a sense of purpose and direction for my life.” James and Bob have been the subject of a slew of novels.

The Islington Tribune became interested in James and Bob’s public appearances over time, and in September of that year, they published their first story. Garry Jenkins was introduced to James by the literary agent responsible for the UK rights to John Grogan’s Marley and Me. The agent was able to obtain a book deal with Hodder & Stoughton thanks to the outline the two had developed. A million copies have been sold in the UK alone since release, and it has been translated into 30 languages. The book has also spent more than 76 weeks at the top of the Sunday Times bestseller list in both its hardback and paperback formats. At No. 7 on the New York Times best-seller list, “A Street Cat Named Bob: And How He Saved My Life” was published in July 2013.

While on the street, James and Bob’s lives are chronicled in “The World According to Bob,” which includes their meeting with Bob’s agent. It was published on July 4th, 2013, and quickly rose to the top of the bestseller list at The Sunday Times.

Fans of the book “Around the World in 80 Bobs” post photos of the renowned cat in various sites all around the world, mirroring Bob’s journeys on the blog “Around the World in 80 Bobs.” It came out in October of that year.

James and Garry Jenkins collaborated on the picture book “My Name is Bob,” which was released by Random House in the UK in April 2014 and features illustrations by Gerald Kelley. Before meeting James, this story imagines Bob’s previous life. Shooting Script Films, based in London, and its producer, Adam Rolston, declared their interest in the picture in March 2014.
