Born on January 22, 1959, Linda Denise Blair is an American actress. Blair is best known for her role as the child Regan in The Exorcist film (1973), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Academy Awards. She took up her role in Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) and was nominated for the Saturn Best Actress Award.
Blair was born and raised in Westport, Connecticut, St. Louis, Missouri. She began her career as a six-year-old child model and started to perform on the daytime soap opera of Hidden Faces (1968–69). Her first film show was in The Way We Live Now (1970). Blair was chosen from 600 applicants for her most remarkable role as Regan in The Exorcist (1973).
