Alan Walker is a DJ and record producer of English and Norwegian descent. Walker gained international recognition in 2015 after releasing the single “Faded,” which was certified platinum in 14 countries. DJ Mag ranked him as the 26th best DJ in the world in 2020. In 2018, he released his first studio album, Different World. Alan Walker is the son of Norwegian Hilde Omdal Walker and Englishman Philip Alan Walker.

Walker was joined on stage by Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren during his 2018 Ultra Music Festival Miami set, where they premiered “Slow Lane,” their new collaboration.

The song, however, was not included on Alan’s album and was instead released on Armin van Buuren’s Euthymia EP in late 2020.He played at Coachella 2018, a music festival in Indio, California, in April.

Walker and K-391 (Kenneth Nilsen), a Norwegian music artist, released a vocal version of “Ignite” on May 11th, featuring Norwegian singer Julie Bergan and South Korean singer Seungri.

Since Nilsen was the lead artist on this song, the music video was released on K-391’s YouTube channel on May 12th. Its music video on YouTube has received over 312 million views. On July 27, he released “Darkside,” which featured Ibiza’s Au/Ra and Tomine Harket, the daughter of A-ha vocalist Morten Harket. He relaunched his ‘Unmasked’ vlog series, in which he films behind the scenes of his concerts and personal life, on August 21. He posted an Exo member Lay remix of “Sheep” on August 30. He released the single “Diamond Heart” with Sophia Somajo on September 28.

He released the single “Different World” from his debut studio album of the same name on November 30. On December 14th, the album was released. Lost Power (featuring Sorana), I Don’t Wanna Go (featuring Julie Bergan), Lily (featuring K-391 and Emelie Hollow), Lonely (featuring Steve Aoki, ISAK, and Omar Noir), and Do It All For You are among the new songs on the record (featuring Trevor Guthrie).
