Mari Cooper born June 17, 199 is an American football wide receiver for the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys (NFL). He attended the University of Alabama, where he was the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation’s top receiver and a unanimous All-American. Cooper went to Miami Northwestern Senior High School, which is located in Miami, Florida.

He missed much of the season as a junior due to an injury, but he still managed to be one of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s primary targets, with 16 catches for 175 yards and four touchdowns. Cooper was a 7-on-7 juggernaut on various college campuses prior to his senior year. He put on a show at Alabama’s summer camp, which led to an offer from Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

He had 33 receptions for 722 yards and six touchdowns in his final season. He was a first-team FHSAA 8A All-State selection and ranked fourth on the Orlando Sentinel’s Florida Top 100. Scout.com ranked him as the nation’s 12th best pass catcher and 86th overall prospect. Among other schools, he chose Alabama over Florida State, Miami, and Ohio State. On September 22, 2011, Cooper announced his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama. Freshman season in college Cooper appeared in all 14 games as a freshman at Alabama, including nine starts. With 59 receptions for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns, he led the team.

The 11 touchdowns broke Al Lary’s 62-year-old record. His receptions and receiving yards broke Julio Jones’ freshman records at Alabama. His set numerous single-season and career records for Alabama as a junior in 2014.  Against Tennessee, he broke Alabama’s single-game receiving yardage record with 224 yards. He later equaled the mark against Auburn. Cooper set a school record with 124 receptions for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns. Furthermore, his 124 receptions set an SEC record. In a 34–31 victory over the San Diego Chargers in Week 5, he had six receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown. Cooper was named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl on December 20, 2016. Cooper had three straight games with fewer than ten receiving yards after having 33 yards in week two.  Cooper, on the other hand, caught 11 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns in a 31–30 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football in week 7. His yardage was the most by any NFL player at that point in the 2017 season, the second-most in franchise history, and the first 200-yard game in franchise history since 1965

Cooper was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after his outstanding performance in Week 7. The Raiders exercised Cooper’s fifth-year option on April 22, 2018. Cooper caught eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in a 45–42 overtime win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 4.  Cooper suffered a concussion and was knocked unconscious in Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks in London. The Raiders went on to lose 27–3.

Dallas Cowboys 2018 season Cooper was traded to the Dallas Cowboys on October 22, 2018, in exchange for a first-round pick (27th overall, Johnathan Abram) in the 2019 NFL Draft. Cooper led the Cowboys with five receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown in his first game with the team on November 5, as the Cowboys fell to the Tennessee Titans by a score of 28–14.
