Son Chae-young is most commonly known as Chaeyoung. He is a rapper and singer from South Korea. She is a member of Twice, a JYP Entertainment K-pop girl group.
Chaeyoung Biography:
Chaeyoung was born on April 23, 1999 in Seoul, South Korea. Chaeyoung took interest in performing arts at a young age and began her career as a model for a children’s magazine. She had decided she wanted to be a singer before joining JYP Entertainment and had been taking dance lessons for over a year.
Chaeyoung graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School in 2019 with fellow Twice member Tzuyu. JYP Entertainment issued a statement in reply, and Chaeyoung responded directly on Twice’s Instagram page.

Pre-debut:
Chaeyoung was 14 years old when she auditioned for JYP Entertainment as a trainee, and she was accepted after two rounds of auditions. She began her career as a singer but soon switched to training as a rapper. Before making her Twice debut, she appeared in music videos for Got7 and Miss A.
2015–present: Sixteen, Twice, and solo activities:
In 2015, Chaeyoung competed in the reality television show Sixteen. She went on to join the newly formed girl group Twice as one of nine successful participants. Twice made their official debut on October 20, 2015, with the release of their first extended play, The Story Begins. Chaeyoung, along with fellow group members Dahyun and Momo, is known for being one of Twice’s rappers in addition to singing for the group. Chaeyoung was the first member to receive writing credit when she wrote the rap verse for Twice’s cover of J. Y. Park’s Precious Love, which was released as part of their 2016 album Page Two.
Chaeyoung has since contributed to the lyrics of several Twice songs. As a solo project, Chaeyoung also covered Cheeze’s “Alone.” Chaeyoung collaborated with Frants on the song “How U Doin'” on Twice’s second Japanese studio album &Twice, making her the first member to do so. She also created the limited edition Page Two album cover and 3 distinct pairs of SPRIS shoes.
