David Bonderman is an American businessman, investor, and philanthropist who is worth a billion dollars. He began his career as a certified lawyer before going on to become one of the most powerful businesspeople in the world. Bonderman was born on November 27, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, to a Jewish family. He grew up in the United States. He received his high school diploma from ‘University High School,’ which is located in West Los Angeles, a neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles. In 1963, he received his Phi Beta Kappa degree from the ‘University of Washington,’ which is situated in Seattle, Washington, United States of America.


“Harvard Law School,” the law school affiliated with ‘Harvard University,’ in Cambridge, Massachusetts, awarded him the degree of “magna cum laude” in 1966, and he was awarded the title of “Doctor of Jurisprudence” three years later in 1967. During his time at ‘Harvard Law School,’ he was a member of the ‘Harvard Law Review,’ an independent student publication that was produced by the school’s student government. The ‘Sheldon Fellowship,’ as it was known, was also awarded to him. He desired to specialize in Islamic legal jurisprudence and law, so he traveled to Cairo, Egypt’s capital, to pursue his goal. Beginning in 1967, he taught law at the ‘Tulane University Law School,’ which was located on the university’s uptown campus in the Louisiana capital city of New Orleans. As Bonderman’s business grew, he was appointed to the boards of directors for a number of other corporations, including Bowe Bell & Howell, Creditcom Asia, The National Education Corporation, Carr Realty, Virgin Cinemas, CoStar Group, Gemalto, Ryanair DAC, Washington Mutual, Inc., Denbury Resources, Burger King, and Uber. Bonderman was born in New York City and raised in Los Angeles.
