Hanuman Beniwal Biography:
Beniwal was born on March 2, 1972, in the village of Barangaon, Nagaur district, Rajasthan. His father’s name is Ram Dev Beniwal and his mother’s name is Mohini Devi. In 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rajasthan University. He obtained his L.L.B. in 1998. On December 9, 2009, he married Kanika Beniwal. The couple is blessed with a son and a daughter.
Beniwal was expelled from the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2013 after accusing party members of having ties to rival Indian National Congress leaders. He successfully organized five Kisan Hunkar Maha Rallies in Nagaur, Barmer, Bikaner, Sikar, and Jaipur, and on October 29, 2018, he initiated the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party with an election symbol of “Bottle” in Jaipur.
Beniwal is a Nagaur farming leader who won his assembly seat for the third time as a candidate of his own RLP. In 2013, he elected as an independent candidate and defeated the BJP candidate by 23,020 votes. In 2008, he elected as a BJP candidate and defeated the BSP candidate by a margin of 24,443 votes.
In 2015, the National Students Union of India (NSUI) protested at Rajasthan University, calling for action against the police for “excessive brutality.” The protest came a day after police arrested a group of students protesting an attack on Beniwal. When the police charged, the students were planning a peaceful rally. A large number of NSUI students were injured. The NSUI headquarters were searched. Around 500 students gathered under the banner of the ‘Kisaan Yuva Aakrosh Rally’ to resist the alleged attack on Beniwal. When police attempted to contain the procession on campus, the students retaliated with stone-pelting. To disperse them, the police used a lathi charge. This resulted in vandalism and chaos, resulting in the injuries of 30 students and 18 police officers.
On April 25, 2017, after speaker Kailash Meghwal canceled Beniwal’s questions because they were related to three different departments, the former protested by going to the well and tearing up his papers, drawing criticism from Parliament Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore and the speaker.
Beniwal joined the anti-farmer bills protest in 2020, labeling it ‘Anti-Farmers.’ He went on to say that if he had been in the Lok Sabha, he would have ripped the farm bills up.
