When he beat Max Boyer in an IWS Championship Unification Match at the Freedom to Fight event on May 24, 2008, he became the first wrestler to ever hold two IWS titles at the same time.

During the annual Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament, the tag team of Steen and El Generico became the first PWG World Tag Team Champions in the company’s history to successfully defend their title in every match (DDT4).
