2016: Produce 101:

Eunbin rose to prominence on January 22, 2016, when she was announced as a contestant on Mnet’s reality girl group survival show, Produce 101. Produce 101’s goal was to create a girl group out of a pool of 101 female trainees from 46 different companies. On Produce 101, Kwon Eun-bin represented Cube Entertainment alongside Jeon So-Yeon, who later debuted as the leader of (G)I-DLE, and Lee Yoon-Seo, a former trainee at the company. Eunbin was removed from the show in the tenth episode, and as a result, he did not make his debut as a member of the subsequent group, I.O.I.

2016–present: Debut with CLC:

According to Cube Entertainment, Eunbin first joined CLC in 2015 but remained a trainee due to the new album’s delay. She was unable to join the group to promote “High Heels” on music shows due to contractual restrictions imposed by Produce 101.
