Liam Neeson (born June 7, 1952 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland) is a Northern Irish American actor best known for portraying powerful leading men.

In his early years, Neeson was a skilled boxer. He abandoned that activity, however, and enrolled at Queen’s University Belfast to study physics and computer science. After a year, he dropped out of college and worked as a forklift driver for a while before returning to school to become a teacher.
