Neeraj Chopra has subsequently broken his personal best, throwing 88.07m in the Indian Grand Prix 3 in Patiala in early March this year. He won gold at three events in 2018, including the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia, the Sotteville Athletics Meet in France, and the Savo Games in Finland, in addition to the Asian Games. The Arjuna Award was given to Neeraj Chopra by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India in 2018.
