Bryson Potts, an American rapper, singer, and social media influencer, goes by the stage name NLE Choppa. Choppa is well known for his viral internet hit “Shotta Flow,” which he released in 2019. NLE Choppa was born Bryson Potts in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 1, 2002. He was born and raised in Memphis, where he attended ‘Cordova High School.’ He was interested in playing basketball as a kid, but he couldn’t focus on it because he was always getting himself into trouble. He began rapping with his friends when he was 14 years old. Under the stage name ‘YNR Choppa,’ he published his first song, ‘No Love Anthem,’ when he was 15 years old. He also released a single titled “Blocc is Hot” in May 2019. The song was a tribute to Choppa’s favourite rapper Lil Wayne, and it was produced by Atlanta-based artist ATL Jacob. In the same month, he performed at the ‘Beale Street Music Event,’ marking his first appearance at a music festival. NLE is a not-for-profit organisation Choppa maintains a tight relationship with his mother, Angeleta Ellis Potts, who oversaw his early career.
