Olivia Tennet is a New Zealand actress and dancer born on January 4, 1991. She is most known in her native country for her role as Tuesday Warner on the weekly medical drama Shortland Street. In addition, she has been in several positions on television and in the theater. Her appearances in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), Power Rangers RPM (2009), and the indie film Blood Punch (2013) have brought her the most recognition outside of New Zealand.

Tennet started attending dance classes when she was four years old, following in the footsteps of her elder sister, who was also involved in dancing. Three years later, she stumbled into acting. She debuted on a giant television show in the episode “If The Shoe Fits…” from the fourth season of Xena: Warrior Princess, in which she played the role of Princess Alesia, who had walked away from her kingdom. Tennet did, in the end, find her way into the film industry.

As a result of her performance as Nicole Mitchell in Kids World, she was presented with the “Best Juvenile Performer” award at the Nokia New Zealand Film and TV Awards in 2000. In the cinematic version of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, directed by Peter Jackson, she played the role of Freda, a young girl from the kingdom of Rohan.

After that, she triumphed over the other adult finalists to take home the “Best Actress” title at the Drifting Clouds Short Film Festival for her work in the short film Watermark, which earned her the award. The award for “Best Film” was given to the movie at the same ceremony. After this, Tennet was cast as Lilith in the 2006 film Maddigan’s Quest, where she was a fundamental cast member. After that, she had a recurring role on Shortland Street as Tuesday Warner for 54 episodes spanning the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

After that, she played the part of the young prodigy Dr. K on the seventeenth season of the Power Rangers series, which debuted in March 2009 and was called Power Rangers RPM. Around this time, Tennet competed in the “Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Competition” with a fellow student named Phoebe Mason, who was the Epsom Girls Grammar School Drama Leader in 2008. They performed well in the competition, winning four of the fifteen prizes.

The performance lasted for five minutes and contained many passages from Macbeth. As members of the Young Shakespeare Company, Tennet and Mason were awarded a trip to the Globe Theatre in London in July 2009. After making her debut on Power Rangers RPM, Tennet has been in several other programs, both on television and on the stage, in her home country of New Zealand. In June 2010, she appeared as Nurse Lynne in a production of Stepping Out by the Auckland Theatre Company. Subsequently, in February 2011, she portrayed the part of the Siren Queen in a performance of Siren’s by the Wet Hot Beauties at the Auckland Fringe Festival.

In addition to that, she assisted with the show’s choreography. Later, in March 2011, Tennet appeared in an episode of The Almighty Johnsons, playing the role of Delphine. This televised appearance took place. In July 2011, she was also seen performing onstage for Peach Theatre Company’s performance of Othello in the role of Emilia.

After that, she went on to play Dorothy in a primary theatrical production of The Wizard of Oz based on the 1987 musical, which the Royal Shakespeare Company put on at the Civic Theatre in September 2011, and she received excellent reviews for her interpretation of the character. Just before she moved to the United States, she appeared in Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud as Julie Theilman, a courier working for Terry Clark of the Mr. Asia drug gang. This appearance took place before she left for New Zealand.

Tennet traveled to the United States when the production of The Wizard of Oz ended so that she could participate in the production of Blood Punch. This low-budget indie feature picture also included several of her co-stars from Power Rangers RPM. The movie debuted at the 20th Austin Film Festival in late October of 2013, and ever since then, it has won many ladies and distinctions at other film festivals.

She performed voiceover work and participated in a web series while living in the United States, both of which she accomplished before returning to New Zealand. Since then, Tennet has acted in the miniseries When We Go To War and the television series 800 Words, produced jointly by Australia and New Zealand. He also has a variety of stage and voiceover credits to his name. Dancing in Small Spaces, her online series of dance films, can be seen on both YouTube and Vimeo. She also created the videos herself.

Late in 2018, Tennet and performers Esther Stephens and Aria Jones established a 60’s doo-wop trio under the moniker The Up-Doos. Since then, they have been playing at several locations within the greater Auckland area. In 2020, Tennet returned to the Power Rangers Beast Morphers franchise to play the character of Dr. K in two episodes of the show’s second season. Tennet was born in the city of Auckland, which is located in New Zealand.

She tied the knot with fellow New Zealand actor Milo Cawthorne when she was based in Los Angeles, California. The two of them had collaborated on several projects together, the most notable being Power Rangers RPM and, more recently, Blood Punch.

Since late 2011, the couple had been sharing a home in Los Angeles. However, in late 2013, they decided to go back to their native New Zealand to start rehearsing for the upcoming performance of 360: A Theatre of Recollections (2014) in Auckland. As of June 2016, the pair was no longer together. Since then, she has been in a relationship with the musician Tom Broome, from whom she has a son called Alwyn. The two of them have a son together.

In 2008, Tennet received her Epsom Girls Grammar School diploma before she first appeared on Power Rangers RPM. After relocating back to New Zealand with her then-husband, she enrolled in speech therapy classes at the University of Auckland and started her studies shortly afterward. In July 2019, she received her bachelor’s degree in the field.

Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings was adapted for the big screen by Peter Jackson, who outdid himself with this project. His interpretation of the trilogy proved a major success both critically and economically. While he had already established himself as an essential filmmaker before the release of these films, they were the ones that solidified his position as one of the top directors working in the world at present. Cameron Rhodes has been continuously employed in the theater industry since receiving his diploma from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in the 1980s.
