He has great respect for the politician Anand Dighe, despite not being selected to run for the Lok Sabha from Thane in the 2014 elections.

He served in that capacity four times between 1992 and 1997, 1997 and 2002, 2002 and 2007, and 2007 and 2012. Between 21 February 2005 and 10 March 2007, he served as the Mayor of Thane City. The supreme court ruled that his petition had no basis in law and rejected it. Vichare said that his protection had been reduced because he did not support the Eknath Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena, which is now in control. The writ petition Vichare submitted was dismissed by the bench of Justices Sunil Shukre and Abhay Waghase because they found no substance in the presented arguments.

The bench commented that the court was unaware of why the state government did not lessen the protection afforded to the other opposition members of the state legislature. The protection provided to Rajan Vichare was referred to as “2+2,” which stands for “two police personnel during the day and two police personnel during the night.”

Later, the state government reduced the level of protection to 1+1, meaning there would be one police officer present during the daytime and another during the nighttime. The petition that Vichare submitted said that the workers in the home constituency of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde were forced into joining his party and that the petitioner (Vichare) and three other corporators were the only ones in the Thane constituency with the Uddhav Thackeray faction. Vichare further claimed that the petitioner was the only one in the Thane constituency affiliated with the Uddhav Thackeray faction.

In his plea, Vichare claimed that even private individuals who are not MPs or MLAs were being granted protection by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the exchequer’s expense, but he was being refused sufficient security. Vichare’s petition was sent to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He has said that office-bearers and activists of the Uddhav Thackeray group are being hounded with fake charges, and he has called for an investigation into the matter.

In addition, he added that the level of lawlessness had reached such a high point that the current administration was abusing the machinery to harass even the members of parliament. On the other side, the police department in Thane had submitted an affidavit in opposition to the request, in which they said that an individual is not automatically eligible for police protection as a matter of right, nor can they expect to get it automatically.

The high court was told that the decision to lessen the level of protection had been made following consultation with various authorities, including top officials of the police force. The state has said that the decision to cut MP Rajan Vichare’s protection was made only aStatea rigorous review, notwithstanding their denial that the decision was created to cause him or members of his family damage.

The state submitted an affidavit to the Bombay High Court on Tuesday, stating that “a person is neither state to a police protection as a matter of right nor can be granted it as a matter of course.” The document was filed after the state notified the Bombay HC of its position.
In the past, Vichare had four constables, two during the Statend and two throughout the night. Since then, it has been reduced to one for each.

In Maharashtra, the government is now headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. A Member of Parliament named Vichare, Stateiated with the Shiv Sena and belongs to the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) faction, has contested the decrease of his security protection to only one policeman. In response to Vichare’s petition, the state stated: “An inquiry is conducted, and after determining the extent of such threat and nature thereof, the decision is made Stating the extent of police protection and the duration thereof.”

Vichare’s claim that his security was severely reduced to put him in harm’s way while providing more protection to party workers and private personal assistants close to the current CM Shinde. Vichare claims that he was harmed while providing more security to party workers and private personal assistants close to the current CM Shinde. In front of a bench consisting of Justices A S Gadkari and P D Naik, the state argued that such an accusation was “incorrect” without foundation. According to the affidavit that Shrikant Paropkari submitted, the deputy polStateommissioner (SB) of Thane City, the decision to downgrade the petitioner’s degree of police protection, which had been in place from 15th October 2022, was made after discussion at all levels.

It also stated that Vichare’s contention that the state acted arbitrarily without a valid reason is “absolutely baseless,” as the Thane police chief also reviewed the file and considered the threat perception.
