Later on, she found employment at the United Way of Aiken County, another charitable organization that works “for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community,” as stated on the organization’s website and Ruth’s time spent working with Helping Hands and United Way provided her with the foundation for the skills she needed to succeed in her current role as alum director. These talents all have one thing in common: an emphasis on active participation in meaningful endeavors.

Born and raised in Hampton, located 50 miles southeast of Aiken in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, Ruth said that her mother “always credit U.S.C. Aiken for introducing me to the Aiken community.” Because I had an aunt who resided in this area, my family and I used to go here for Thanksgiving. But I needed to be more knowledgeable about it at the time. I attended U.S.C. Aiken, where I became a very involved student and eventually fell in love with this town.

She was active in Circle K, a program of Kiwanis worldwide that promotes worldwide collegialization and serves as a leadership program for service organizations and other student leadership groups that work with the nonprofit community to give community service.

She drew on the skills she gained while serving as an intern. She was also a part of the marketing team for the Triple Crown Golf Classic, a competition that has been going on for many years and raises money for the Tri-Development Center and Helping Hands.

In 2007, Ruth enrolled in a master’s program at Pace University in New York City to “learn the inner workings of a nonprofit.” She received a Master of Public Administration degree in nonprofit administration in 2009, specializing in donor and volunteer motivation as her area of concentration.

Ruth relocated to the United Way of Aiken County in 2013 after working there for over ten years as the director of community investment. Through United Way’s Project VISION, a community investment initiative, Ruth assisted hundreds of community members, both as volunteers and as community partners, to enhance the living standard of living in Aiken County.

Tammy’s previous roles in New Zealand dramas include The Market, Mataku, The Wild Ones, and both seasons of Jackson’s Wharf. Before playing the supporting part of Munter in the first season of OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE, Tammy appeared in several other New Zealand productions. At Northland Polytechnic, Tammy concentrated on theater with a concentration in acting. Take Me Home, Mr. (2003), Popokoura & Kihikihi and Awhine (2002), and The Battalion – Te Rakau (2005) are just some of the credits he has racked up in the theatre.

Tammy, his girlfriend Ainsley, and the couple’s three kids all make their home in Auckland. It landed in my lap by accident. When the producers heard that I was interested in becoming a part of their New Zealand adaptation of a dance film, they entirely reworked the script before sending it to me. The tale of a little child who clung to his aspirations in the face of adversity captured my attention. There has been previous cinematic representation of dance in New Zealand, but not of this quality.

Tammy Davis, the actor who plays the most recent antagonist on Shortland Street, can’t get over how enjoyable it is to play the evil.
The actor, who previously stole the hearts of audiences as Outrageous Fortune’s Munter, is enjoying his portrayal as Luke, the enigmatic and threatening leader of the Followers of the Light. However, the cult leader, who also happens to be the brother of Shortland Street fan favorite Dr. TK Samuels (played by Ben Mitchell), may have gone a step too far when he sought to woo ditzy nurse Dawn (played by Rebekah Palmer) into his flock.

Ali (Tane Williams-Accra) and Sass (Lucy Lovegrove) have decided to conduct a rescue expedition to get Dawn back. Luke uses the young nurse as bait to bring his son Ezra (Dylan Poihipi, Mitchell’s real-life nephew) back to the cult. However, when Ali and Sass decide, Luke’s intentions could be derailed this week.
