Nidhi Razdan is an Indian journalist and TV host. She was the executive editor of NDTV and the main anchor of the NDTV 24×7 news show Left, Right & Centre. The program is usually broadcast live from a New Delhi studio every night. It mainly covers debates and discussions on and above news stories and headlines. She also hosted the weekly program, The Big Fight, which pits the opposite sides of the problem against each other in a debate.
Nidhi Razdan Biography:
Nidhi Razdan was born on 11 April 1977 in New Delhi, India. She is a former editor-in-chief of the Indian Press Trust News Agency. She is a Kashmiri Pandit, daughter of Maharaj Krishan Razdan. She studied at the Apeejay School in Sheik Sarai, New Delhi. She completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College and then graduated with a Postgraduate degree in Radio and TV Journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communications, Delhi (1998–99). She’s from Budgam (Central Kashmir), Jammu & Kashmir.
Razdan married Neelesh Misra, a journalist, and blogger, in 2005. Two years later, the couple divorced in 2007.
Career:
Since the beginning of her career in 1999, Razdan has covered a number of news events and presented a series of shows, mostly broadcast live from the news scene. She has reported extensively on a wide range of important political, economic, and social stories from the Indian subcontinent, covering Indian politics and foreign affairs closely, including the Indian-US nuclear agreement, general elections, multiple state elections, all major news developments and elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the 2001 Gujarat earthquake and the 2005 Kashmir earthquake. Razdan was diplomatic correspondent for NDTV 24×7, an English-language television channel that broadcasts news and current affairs in India, owned by New Delhi Television Ltd.
She made documentaries from Pakistan-managed Kashmir, Tibet, and the United Kingdom after the bombing of the train. Razdan has also written a book entitled Left, Right, and Center: The Concept of India, released by Penguin Random House India in July 2017.
Razdan joined NDTV in 1999 and served for twenty-one years until June 2020. She officially took a faculty position as an associate professor of journalism at Harvard University, US, in June 2020. The following shows had been anchored on NDTV:
