Tuck Carlson, as he’s known professionally as Tucker Swanson American conservative commentator and talk show presenter McNear Carlson (born 1969 in San Francisco, California) is widely credited with helping mainstream far-right views and lexicon into American politics. One of Carlson’s most well-known characteristics is his support for authoritarian regimes around the world, as well as his frequent reliance on bogus assertions, such as conspiracy theories, to defend his strong viewpoints on political and social matters. As a regular viewer of Carlson’s Tucker Carlson Tonight show, Donald Trump had an uncommon influence on him through his television appearances and his writings.

There were two children in the Carlson family: Tucker Carlson, the eldest, and Lisa McNear Lombardi. Tucker’s mother left the family when he was six years old; she eventually relocated in France and died there in 2011. Buckley, Tucker’s older brother, and they had lost track of her. They moved to La Jolla, California, after their parents divorced. Both boys attended primary school there. At the age of 10, Tucker’s father married Patricia Swanson, a descendant of the Swanson family who had previously controlled a food firm.

Tucker and Buckley attended St. George’s School, a Rhode Island boarding school, for their secondary education. Susan Andrews, the daughter of the school’s headmaster, was a fellow student who Tucker eventually married. A number of top universities rejected down Tucker’s application, and he’s disappointed. He was eventually accepted to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, thanks to the support of his future father-in-law.Tucker Carlson Contact Address, Phone Number, Whatsapp Number, Fanmail Address, Email ID, Website 13

Carlson applied to join the CIA after graduating from Trinity College in 1991, but was turned down. Carlson followed his father’s advice and became a journalist, first as a fact-checker for the conservative journal Policy Review and later writing op-eds for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock, Arkansas. William Kristol co-founded The Weekly Standard, a conservative opinion journal, in 1995. In 1995, he joined the publication’s staff.

On the CBS news show 48 Hours in 1995, Carlson was asked by Dan Rather about the O.J. Simpson trial, which was widely regarded as one of the most controversial in American history at the time (see also O.J. Simpson trial). After that, he became a frequent on news and political debate shows as a conservative pundit. In 2000, he co-hosted a CNN discussion show called The Spin Room, which was quickly canceled due to low viewership.

Paul Begala, a Democratic strategist and political pundit, persuaded him to co-host Crossfire—another CNN debate show that had begun in 1982—in 2001. Both hosts were “political hacks” who were “hurting America” when they engaged in partisan political theater, Jon Stewart, then the host of the politically satirical The Daily Show, said in an interview with Carlson and Begala. Crossfire was canceled by CNN’s president three months later, who stated in an interview that he agreed with Stewart’s evaluation of the show. Tucker, Carlson’s show on MSNBC (see NBC), lasted till 2008.

With the help of fellow Trinity College student Neil Patel, a Republican political strategist, he started The Daily Caller, a conservative news and commentary website, in 2010. The blog quickly deteriorated into radicalism and sensationalism, publishing unsubstantiated and often profane attacks on Democratic leaders, bogus accusations of liberal causes, and popular conspiracy theories in an effort to boost its audience among the far right. Also, the site gained notoriety for promoting racist and sexist prejudices. Carlson sold a majority share in The Daily Caller to Patel in 2020.Tucker Carlson Contact Address, Phone Number, Whatsapp Number, Fanmail Address, Email ID, Website 14

The conservative Fox News Channel hired Carlson as a pundit and guest presenter back in 2009, before he had even started working for The Daily Caller. As a result of his numerous appearances on the network, he became increasingly well-known among conservative commentators, and in 2016, the network decided to give him his own show, Tucker Carlson Tonight. As a result of its instant popularity with viewers, the show went on to become one of the most watched news shows in cable television history.

Tucker Carlson’s show is structured in a similar way. With one-on-one conversations with guests tonight, Carlson discussed current events from a far-right viewpoint—one that many detractors, including some conservatives, viewed as extremist and excessive. Carlson argued that efforts to protect the civil rights of nonwhite Americans, to address race-based inequalities, or even to acknowledge the continued existence of racism in the United States were all part of a larger liberal strategy to blame whites for the problems of racial minorities and give racial minorities unfair advantages over whites.

On the basis of this stance, Carlson dismissed reports of police brutality against African-Americans and the ensuing protests, notably those organized by the Black Lives Matter movement, as untrue or unimportant. As a reminder to his (white) viewers, Carlson said at one point, “Remember that when they come for you.” “Replace” white Americans with nonwhites, Carlson claimed, using the white supremacist conspiracy theory that liberals were aiming to “replace” white Americans with nonwhite immigrants.

Carlson’s detractors viewed his backing for white nationalism and “white grievance” politics as evidence of his racist views toward non-whites, according to them. According to this evaluation, a media watchdog group released a number of tapes from 2006 to 2011 showing Carlson using racist (and sexist and homophobic) language on a Tampa-based radio show.

‘Tucker Carlson’ After Trump was elected president of the United States in November 2016, NBC’s Tonight show debuted shortly thereafter. Most, though not all, of Trump’s earliest statements and initiatives were endorsed by Carlson, including the president’s ban on immigration from most Muslim-majority nations, his proposal to build a wall along the US-Mexico border, and his rejection of climate change’s validity. He shares Trump’s respect for the leaders of other authoritarian countries, including Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orbán of Hungary, as well. that Trump’s 2016 campaign had worked with Russia to intervene in the election on Trump’s behalf and obstructed the US Justice Department’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s connections with Russia, Carlson defended Trump in this context (see Donald Trump: Russia investigation).

Even after that, Carlson slammed Trump for his attempt to coerce the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to announce an investigation into Joe Biden and his son Hunter for alleged wrongdoing related to a Ukrainian energy company—even though he insisted Trump had not committed an impeachable offense. The House of Representatives voted in 2019 to impeach Trump on allegations of abuse of authority and obstruction of Congress in response to Trump’s participation in Ukraine (see the Ukraine controversy). It wasn’t until February 2022 that the Russian invasion of Ukraine began that Carlson acknowledged that Russia’s military threat was real, and he criticized the Russians for doing so, but he also promoted the conspiracy theory that Hunter Biden funded a laboratory in Ukraine for the creation of biological weapons.

The devastating SARS-CoV-2 pandemic began in the United States in early 2020 (see coronavirus), and Carlson told his viewers that the virus posed an immediate threat to public health. Carlson was apparently successful in convincing Trump that the virus deserved serious consideration. The public safety measures implemented to control the spread of the virus—including company closures, stay-at-home orders, and mask-wearing mandates—were soon criticized by Carlson, who also questioned the necessity and safety of vaccines developed by American and European pharmaceutical corporations.

To further instill mistrust among his audience members, he falsely claimed that Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, had created and spread the virus in this country. This was a clear attempt to undermine the country’s then-leading pandemic response. In the end, Trump had a similar take on the country’s response to the outbreak.
